It is the Nets and the Rockets..

but rumor running right now is that the Magic have agreed to send Dwight to New Jersey for Brook Lopez and picks.

What the hell? They can get it done for Brook? The Suns got the better of the LOPEZ brothers. WE GOT THE REAL LOPEZ. Hell we should be able to get this deal done. Quick someone call the Magic!!!!!!

Should receive about the same penalty Minnesota got for the Joe Smith thing.

The Timberwolves actually arranged an additional secret contract outside of the NBA to circumvent the cap. That's far worse than talking to a player under contract. It would still be cool to at least take a pick from NJ though.

Not to give any credence to gambo long shot scenario, but if the nets did this they'll will not be allowed to get howard. That combined with the nba not moving paul to the lakers, or moving him at all this year, certainly makes the suns summer of 2012 better.

howard's agent has been given permission by the magic to talk to three teams about a trade: LAL, NJN, and DAL. all teams that howard is willing to sign a long term deal with.

I don't see how Dallas will be enticing for Howard. By the time he gets there, their only good player will be 35 years old.

RealGm is reporting that if tampering is proven, the Nets would lose the right to sign Howard, draft picks, and that would, of course, encourage DWill to go somewhere else as a FA in the summer.

Can't imagine it would be that bad.

LAL are really in the same boat there with kobe and now with odom gone and no paul trade. in fact if the lakers land howard all they will have is kobe and howard with no depth. not even as much depth as what howard had in orlando.

the teams that have been granted permission to speak about a trade are the 3 teams that howard himself hand selected. he wants to be in dallas because of the culture and cubes. in his latest statement he even mentioned dirk by name when saying he wants to be in his shoes with an owner like cuban. of corse he can likely be in that position in NJ with the guys there. and we saw how the LAL made moves for kobe when he spoke out.

now can dallas outbid the other 2? that's where they might lose. Dwill is a younger star and NJ is on the rise. LAL and DAL are filled with older players that are going to be going down soon, but both franchises will stay winning because of their management.

that may be so, but it appears that howard is done in orlando and they will be forced to trade him now. so if NJN offer them the best deal, which they may indeed, then why would orlando sue them? it won't happen now that he isn't staying there in orlando. if NJN lose on howard, then i do feel williams will walk. he doesn't seem to want to be there. he was in the mavs lockeroom in miami after game 6. just saying lol. and he's from dallas. but in all reality I think the NJN might be the front runners to grab howard and keep williams.
