I think green coached him at Stanford....then when he got the Vikings gig he acquired him from Buffalo... I only bring it up because Walsh lived here in Phoenix in July and August of 2003 (not sure if he still lives here) and he was on the radio quite a bit on the early show on KDUS and he was like campaigning for a shot to go to training camp for the Cardinals...he was like: I wish they would call me - they need a veteran and I could help them.....
One season later....green ...his former coach in college and at minnesota is the head coach of the Cardinals...
All I know about Chris is that he knocked half of our defensive backs unconscious in a mid to late 1990's game against the Vikings (only a slight exaggeration). He kept clocking our DB's by legally blindsiding them...I hated him at the time - but I only wished our receivers could do the same thing.
We do not need Chris walsh and he will not be here...he is too old to play...unless...maybe he can be some entry level coach type and help with the receivers or something (not WR coach..something less than that)....he sounded like a bright guy on the radio. He is also more of a special teams guy (coverage guy)....we have a few guys who could learn how to get down the field and tackle someone on special teams.
