For Ryan Anderson and DeAnthony Melton.
Whoa.
Whoa.
For the record I never bought into the Knight hype train by the local media.

The more I think about this, the more I hate it.
Ryan Anderson is on the books for longer than Knight.
What is the plan here? I'm missing something surely...
neither did I. I was pretty silent on people buying into it because I've pee'd in enough people's cheerios here for years, but expecting a bad player coming off a bad injury to be a big part of this year's team never seemed realistic to me.
That said... we added salary for the next two years for Ryan Anderson? We already had our hot garbage salary in Knight... why did we feel the need to make it scalding for the next two years?
Anderson CERTAINLY isn't in our future plans either, so that argument, while true, doesn't hold a lot of water with this trade. At least Knight was at least potentially fulfilling a need this season.neither did I. I guess I had more faith in Igor and thought Knight at least deserved a chance. Losing him isn't that big of a deal, though. I'm more confused by the return.I don't think he was potentially fulfilling anything but a negative impact on the team. he's a three time cancer on three teams, coming off an ACL. why people expected him to all of sudden change attitude AND game made little sense to me.
all that said, trade still doesn't make sense from a salary standpoint.
Are Chriss and Knight that big of losses? Based on what we've seen, no, they're not.
However, are Anderson and Melton that big of acquisitions. A part of me thinks that Anderson hurts more than he helps. We don't need a 30-year-old fringe player making 20m per year.
Sorry. I have defended McD but I don’t know what to say. It must be Knight wanting out, Chriss too.
