History was made at the Big House on Saturday night.

The Class 4A girls championship between Douglass and Lincoln Christian was not only the final high school basketball game inside State Fair Arena.

It also ended with a program accomplishing something it has never done before.

Class 4A top-ranked Lincoln Christian beat No. 2 Douglass 39-36, claiming its first title in program history.

A back-and-forth battle, it was close all game.

Maddie Stewar led Lincoln Christian with 20 points.

Jordyn Anderson had 12 for Douglass.
