Claudio Ranieri previews Lecce-Roma

Roma manager Claudio Ranieri addressed the media two days before Roma’s fixture against Lecce.

The Italian technician attended today’s pre-match press conference at Trigoria following the conclusion to the latest international break.

“Today I told the boys that without Europa League we will be deciding from game to game who plays, depending on who is in better shape. Everybody is important.”

“Gasperini? Ghisolfi and I will give a list of coaches to the president, then he will decide. If I stayed we would lose a year. I am not the future of Roma, whoever arrives next will be.”

“The next coach? You can exclude Gasperini and all those [the media] mentioned.”

“Hummels is fine and training well. He could even play on Saturday.”

“I have said that I want Paredes to stay. He said that he wants to return to Argentina as I have said several times that I want to return to Rome.”

“Koné? He was tired and he rested with me and did well with France. Let’s see how he is, if he’s not in shape he’ll go on the bench.”
