I am not a Shadur fan. Would not have picked him in the first.

But to be snubbed for DAYS in the draft....and then get drafted by the Browns!!!...
Fellas, the Gods are capricious and cruel.

I honestly thought the Raiders were gonna snatch him up and sit him behind Geno for a couple years...Geno is the perfect QB to mentor the kid.

I will say this, if this draft doesn't prove Mel Kiper at al have no idea what they're talking about nothing ever will. Kiper is still saying he slid. When he goes undrafted through THREE rounds with Cleveland passing on him what 4 times maybe 5 and he still hasnt' been picked, he's NOT sliding, you just massively overestimated what NFL teams thought of him
I agree about Mel Kiper. He has a good job and does have draft knowledge, but he's not actually a pro scout for a team. if the NFL was wrong about Sanders, he has every chance to prove them wrong now.

Meh the quote was from when shedeur was a FRESHMAN in HIGH SCHOOL.
Isn’t that Dion‘s account anyway? The wording clearly said if I was a young quarterback well even in high school he was a young quarterback that sounds like a quote from Dion.

Yeah but it’s not like he was talking about shedeur back then. It was a general comment about the state of the browns 7 years ago. Tying it to shedeur going to the browns today is stupid imo. If what krang says is true and he made similar comments more recently those would be applicable. But that quote is being floated in a manner as a “gotcha” and it’s just not really that imo.

I am pretty sure it's a knock the city of Cleveland as a whole, which I don't think a few years would have changed in the slightest.

And even if it's a general knock on the Browns franchise, if anything, they're more of a clown show now. They are still living in the shadow of the Watson trade and their best player just recently demanded a trade.

I’ve never hit my boys, but if I were that coach that was my child his momma would have to protect him from me. First, it’s a BS move as a human being. Second that’s my livelihood you’re messing with.

I can't tell if it's real anymore but apparently Deion said he wants to attend the first meeting Shedeur has with the Browns. If True talk about not reading the room
We were discussing this type of thing earlier

This is exactly the kind of thing that could hinder the relationship

This kid needs to do this all on his own and there is no reason for Deion to be there

He should have zero influence on the coaching staffs decisions or it will be toxic

Unless the game plan it to have him coach next year

But that really undermines this staff and hinders them to no end

I don't remember Deion's dad being there and guiding him throughout his career. Maybe back the hell off and let your kids have their own lives? It's no wonder that there are no father and son tandems in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Not with helicopter dads like him around.

Man if you look over to Sheduer's social media he just gives off serious spoiled rich kid vibes. Like MTV Sweet 16 levels of bad, its just uncomfortable to hear him talk at a certain point. Apparently his younger brothers entire job is to film him constantly to make content for youtube. People who saw Sanders at the combine noticed he had his personal camera crew on him the entire time.

The article is from 2014.
You are correct. It appears (as of 2020) there are now three pairs of fathers and sons in the Hall of Fame as contributors, but none as players or coaches. The latest father/son tandem were both involved with NFL Films.
