The Suns need to change their defense even if it is not for Patrick Beverley.

I believe that is part, (only part) of the problem. We gave him a superstar center and his style requires a superstar PG. Maybe the question should be; is it easier to find a coach that can coach a big man or a great PG?

this is what I've been thinking. We went big man with that first pick. We don't seem like we have a coach who really knows how to develop him on either side of the court. If that continues to be the case, I don't know how you keep going with that coach when your team DESPERATELY needs your first pick to be a literal centerpiece.

You make a good point.

I wonder how the Suns would look with a healthy Goran Dragic or if they drafted Doncic to run the offense.

The Suns definitely need the point guard.

I just did a quick look at the schedule... I see 8 more wins this season. Maybe 9.

The suns are on pace to finish with a worse record than last season. which was already the second worst record
in suns history; 2nd only to their first, 68-69 season

these guys don't know how to quit... except in the first half of games where they're all but decided.

Jeez, I need to prematurely quit on games earlier. Last two games they've made huge cuts into the lead after I turn it off.

End of 3rd quarter:

Clippers 91 - Suns 78

My hypothesis is the Clippers let up in the third quarter as in garbage time and will turn it on again in the fourth quarter.

Hope I'm wrong.

Superstar pg? We need a competent one

Why does it take the team til the 3rd quarter and being down 20+ points to stop playing horribly?

Bookers T worked. Suns got some calls. Refs let the suns be agressors a bit.

The Suns need to keep up the defense.

We are on pace for the second worst record in suns history. If an average PG can turn that around he'd be up for MVP....

I think you underestimate how bad our pg situation is. Horrific is a good way to describe it.

They likely wouldn't be a playoff team with just a competent one but it would make a helluva difference.

Of course other factors are at play like ayton growing a pair but one step at a time

The 3rd quarter was garbage time for the Clippers. Now they play for real in the 4th.
