When Ayton gets stronger he will be able to come down with those key rebounds.

Shades of John MacLeod. When your allotted time is up, you go to the bench, no matter how hot you are.

Again, we were up by 7 when Igor benched Holmes, who was carrying the team, in regulation with minutes to go. Up by 7.

And Holmes got called for his 6th foul in an OT which should never have been. And we lost by 4.

Snatchin defeat from the jaws of victory.
Good game though, very entertaining.

Man it just sucks seeing Melton take big shots. I know he hit the one to send it to OT but he missed some big ones and had some bad turnovers.

I hate that I’m to the point where I’m happy they just didn’t get blown out.

Holmes had a crucial turnover in the fourth, and Ayton was playing incredibly well.
A turnover. That's it?

Holmes was clearly leading the Suns to victory in regulation . . . but he was pulled. And we lost.

The final result is not an opinion. It is a fact.

I don't think the man is capable of making in-game adjustments on the fly. It's like he has the entire game scripted beforehand, and if something unexpected happens, he is a deer in the headlights.

My guess is it is either the language barrier, the fact that he is just mentally slow, or some combination of both.

Two posts one after the other. One complaining about Holmes being out, and one complaining about Ayton being out. Both mad at the coach. Lol.

Frankly, there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to any of Kokoskov's substitution moves.

This is indeed a repeat of the last time we had Kokoskov effectively at the helm...

******** people both leading them to victory and should have been on the court at the same time! but Igor refuses to play them together and will continue to hold this team back

Ayton played fairly well in the first half but he got less aggressive as the fouls mounted.
IIRC, even without foul trouble, that has been DeAndre's MO for a lot of the season so far. I think the records might show that most of his scoring has been in 1st halves.

I am not faulting him, because he is a rookie. The Coach should recognize it and bring him along. And we should stop expected him to be an All-Star by now because he is our #1 pick.

Yeah, I can't believe people are bitching and whining. Suns played an excellent game without their top two players. I swear some of you can't be happy if you are not complaining.

A proper in-game adjustment would be nice to see once in a blue moon...

Actually I was thinking about his defense and especially his board work, it was a tale of two halves in that regard. I think he only had 2 rebounds total in the second half.

Stef, it is not that we lost, but how we lost. As I posted during the game, pulling Holmes because, what, he is not a closer? Rigid!

In this game, Holmes should have stayed in. Go with him and Ayton if need be. We don't have a Power Forward. We shouldn't have lost the game. Not this game.

Complaining about losing a game . . . no Suns fan should be doing that under the circumstances this season. But losing a game we were winning until Igor changed the chemistry? That is very specific.

And Igor just said post-game that he is very happy about how we played tonight. Cover your butt, Igor. :)

Execution towards the end was terrible. JJ made up his mind to take the shot at the elbow and missed.

The melton made up his mind to be the hero at the end of regulation and ot too
