The Suns finish up their two game home stand with the Clippers on Wednesday before going on the road to face the Rockets @ Warriors.

Only seven games left in the season.

Here is more from the Scott Bordow update.

Clippers at Suns

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Talking Stick Resort Arena

TV/radio: FSAZ/KTAR 98.7 FM

Update:Neither Devin Booker (sprained right hand) nor T.J. Warren (left knee inflammation) practiced Tuesday and interim coach Jay Triano said he didn’t expect either player to suit up for Wednesday’s game. Phoenix has lost 12 straight game; the longest single-season losing streak in franchise history is 13, set three times, including each of the last two seasons. The Clippers were two games back of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference heading into their game Tuesday against Milwaukee. Los Angeles will be without Patrick Beverley (knee surgery), Avery Bradley (adductor surgery) and likely Danilo Gallinari (hand).

So if they lose to the Clippers they'll be at 13 straight losses and they'll most likely lose against the Rockets and Warriors to set a new franchise record with 15 straight losses. They'll play Sacramento back at home after those 2 on the road in a winnable game. I don't want to see them set a new franchise losing streak but at the same time I don't want to worry about needing to lose to the Kings after they play their little road trip. If they win against the Clippers it wouldn't surprise me if the announce that Booker and Warren will be sat for the remainder of the season. The only reason to bring them back at all is to try and stop a horrible losing streak. At least we're 1 win behind Memphis right now, so picking up 1 won't be the end of the world.

In mock draft news, Tankathon has the Suns drafting Ayton at #1 and Sexton at #15. I'm not sold on Sexton entirely but getting him at #15 would not be bad at all. I prefer Young or Doncic but if Sexton is on the board when the Suns have the Miami and Milwaukee picks that would be a no brainer to select him.

TBF Philly absolutely destroyed franchise records for futility just a couple years ago and now they are on their way to the playoffs. The key is that as soon as you get the pieces that you need from the draft you immediately start building around them to start winning as soon as possible.

It's too bad we couldn't have hit a home run in the 2016 draft because this could have been the first year of building towards winning as opposed to another year of tanking. Unfortunately we didn't and that makes this draft all the more important. We need to hit on this pick and start building a winning roster and culture around the top players.

Philly seems to be one of the only teams that had a good draft in 2016. They didn't benefit from it until this season though, with Simmons missing the entire year. I understand your point about missing out that year but the whole league missed out, for the most part. The best rookies from last year wouldn't make either all rookie team's this season. I think there are at least a dozen rookies who are playing better than the top sophomores in the league this year. It sucks we couldn't find a player with star potential with 2 top 10 picks in the 2016 draft but there are probably only 2 stars from that entire draft class right now. So while it is taking a little longer than we'd like, at least no other rebuilding teams in the West gained ground on us because we had a bad draft and they didn't that year. That's a small consolation, IMO.

I don't think it is missing out compared to another team but rather the Suns missed a step in their rebuild in 2016.

If the Suns had hit on Bender or Chriss, they would be right there. Of course if either one suddenly turns it on next season, they will be ahead of the game because it doesn't hurt their lottery chances this season.

Len, Chriss, Bender...all reasons we are still in this mess. At least Booker and Jackson are steps in the right direction. A top three pick right now could be a leap forward finally. A top seven pick in this draft is still nice progress too.

The suns just can't let up! Or they should let up... whatever.

A top three pick, Booker, Jackson and Chriss or Bender coming around is all I'm asking.

Plus a nice trade, a solid pickup in free agency and perhaps hitting on another draft pick.

I'm not greedy. :)

I haven't given up on Bender and Chriss but next season better be an eye opener!

You are right about that.

If the right trade opportunity comes along, I would consider trading one of them. I don't see the Suns keeping both.

Go for it Tyler. The Suns will have to make a decision by June 28th to keep him.

Sure is a line-up that can run up and down. Also a lineup that can get blown out if they don't score.

Also a problem for the Suns is competing inside with Jordon and the Clippers.

Chriss opens the Suns scoring with a layup.

The uniforms are going to bother me. The Clippers uniforms are light blue and the Suns uniforms look like dark blue although they are probably purple. Too similar IMO.
