Apparently the Suns already exercised the 2018-19 options on Bender and Chriss, according to this article. They did so before this season.

It would be silly to not exercise their options. They cost next to nothing, and they both have shown that they have potential. Chriss had sevel good months last year, and Bender had a couple of nice 3-5 game runs this year. Do I think it's likely that either of them will work out and be a legitimate NBA player? Probably not. There is zero risk in letting them develop for another year or two.
