As I saw it, the Suns certainly could have used more playing time from Richards or Nurkic.

I was a kid when that happened and totally obsessed with the Suns and looking back, I cannot believe that was not a bigger story. An active NBA player has his girlfriend killed.

Maybe I am just remembering it wrong, but I feel like it was a really minor story, nationally it got brought up like... when he got arrested and locally there were blurbs here and there.

Sports Illustrated did a great deep dive on his case in 2017. I didn't realize he's now dead himself. He died in October 2024 on his 55th birthday. Definitely a very questionable situation all around.

I understand Kevin Durant is playing hurt with some sort of thumb injury. Between that, Dunn's injury, and the Timberwolfs playing much better defense than the Suns, a Suns victory would be truly surprising and impressive.
