Monty wouldn't comment if key players would play Sunday. He was a little short on a legitimate question.

She can shoot the rock. She makes more than Ish from three....

So she can intentionally make a shot? Only joking. She is superb behind the microphone.

What will be fascinating is that this game will quite possibly determine whether we face the Clippers or the Warriors in the first round. If the Clippers and Warriors either both beat or both lose to the Trail Blazers this weekend, our game will decide the seeding--if the Clippers beat us, it would mean we face them in round 1, while a Clippers loss would mean we face the Warriors. Would the Clippers possibly throw this game to avoid facing the Suns in the first round???

I think what we're seeing is the head coach (and others) may make the decisions as to who plays but it's allowing players seeking playing time to jump on the main stage - and showing they can bang. Teams thinking they were going to get a day off busting ass to avoid a loss. Truth is NBA West is a coin flip 1-8

Obvious that coach is concerned about injuries at this stage,,, but let the starters play the first and third quarters and the
bench guys play the second and forth. Give the paying fans what they spend their money on > to see their team perform.

Win or lose,,,, we are movin' on

If we start:
Shamet
Lee
TJ
Ish
Jock

Bench of Lee, Bazley, TC, & Ross. That's 9 and we can make that work. And I don't see any way we win on Sunday with that 9. With Bizzy and Cam down, we have all the ammo we need to rest players. CP, DA, Book, KD, & JO out with Craig & Ross on reduced minutes.

Bazely is super raw, but he's only 22. I think we took him more as a project for next year based on age and measerables than really helping this year. That said, this is s super good opportunity to give him and Saben Lee run in a game that means absolutely nothing for us.

How in the world did the NBA decide to schedule a game that is not nationally televised so early on Easter?

It's not just the religious observance, but the short turnaround time after back-to-back games. There was no need for an early game on this day.

This is where Monty expresses frustration with the scheduling.

They didn’t do it to punish the Suns. Every game tomorrow has a start time of either 1 or 1230. Think it’s that way so that almost every game that can mean something at the end of the year does mean something, if possible.

The games could easily be scheduled later in the day.

Which games? And how is the NBA supposed to know that months ahead of time where if one team loses early in the day, it wouldn’t effect another one?

The games could easily be scheduled later in the day.
For example, you think the Suns game should be played later in the day.

But the Lakers are on national TV at 1230 and that game could have had an effect on the Warriors game which would have had an effect on the Suns game because of the Clippers.

This isn’t as easy as you make it out to be for the NBA to try and schedule an end to the season hopeful that as many of the games matter as possible so that a) there’s reason to watch and b) so fans who buy those tickets for the last game aren’t treated to crap when no big stars play.

That already happens enough in the league but what you’re advocating for possibly makes it worse in the final day of the season.

Do we want to win? Honestly? If we let them win we play them opposed to GS in the first round (if they beat Portland today which they should). So it seems like the best idea to lose to them playing only bench so they have no idea what’s coming for them with Surant and Book since they haven’t played us at full strength! Who the hell wants to go against GS first thing that seems like an easy decision…

It makes my brain hurt thinking about it. And then, there are the Mavericks.

The Suns are honoring Al McCoy's retirement after 51 seasons on Sunday.
