Yeah, this sucks. I seem to recall how only the final picks in 2027 and 2029 stood the chance of being lottery picks since KD would be retired by them but even those odds were supposed to be incredibly low since Ishbia would continue spending to keep us in the playoff picture. We're barely 2 years past that trade and haven't paid the second 1st round pick yet.
