Dexter Jackson is injured I know that, but how does he lose his starting position and need to beat out Quentin Harris to earn it back? Green is starting to act just a little kooky to me. Smith over Shipp and Harris over Jackson??? Crazy !!!!

Wow. Duane beat out Hill in just a handful of practices. Although it looks like Macklin has the #1 cornerback job. Hill must've had a just awful camp.

I like how we're starting Fitzgerald in the slot. Great move. It's going to be an awesome camp!

In retrospect, I'm not worried about it. Weren't Jason mcAddley and Brian Gilmore our starters at WR going into camp last year?

The best players will play.

Hopefully.

Quite frankly....I wouldnt put much stock into this....None of this is etched in the stone whatsoever.....If this was announced just prior to the 1st week of the season, then I would see the validity in this.....

Most of this is a motivational ploy to get the players in better health/shape... Plus, we don't know what players may be added to the roster between now and then....

Also, it is a guarantee that both Fitzgerald and Dockett will be signed in time for training camp?

Stay tuned........

I tend to agree with a few minor exceptions IMO:

Hill doesnt not beat out Macklin for the #2 CB spot.
Wells beats out Spikes for the RG spot.

Agreed, we might as well get on the Dockett bandwagon on the ground floor, anyone else want to join?

Only if Wells has gotten considerably stronger. Let's see what happens when the pads go back on. Last time he had them on he got severely bitch-slapped by Lance Johnstone of all people.

I hope Dansby rocks too and takes a starting job... I hope Clement does not play RT and we can move him to guard.... I hope one of the rook olinemen can start at a guard spot.. I hope Leonard Davis moves to left tackle and dominates more than LJ (small chance) and I hope LJ can play right tackle... Lots of wishful thinking...

He did gain 25 lbs. from last year. He played at just under 300 last year. He is now about 323. And I doubt it is all fat for Green to name him the starting LG so far.

The depth chart should read:

LB - Gerald Hayes/Karlos Dansby

I really think these 2 will get equal playing time with HAyes in on running situations and Dansby in on passing situations.

Yeah, but I think you know (at least you seem pretty smart), he'll have to prove it in pads. I'm not a believer. Yet.

Karlos Dansby will play on the weakside. He'll be playing behind Raynoch Thompson, and will be pushing him for his job all year.

We'll probably see a lot of Dansby on third downs this season.
