Coach on Power Rankings

During the flight home, Coach Whisenhunt answered the question: “Do you think the power rankings that come out later today will have the Cardinals in the top half of the league?”

Coach said: “We don’t think about that much, but I know our fans out there wearing our gear will have people saying to them ‘your team played a good game’”.

Yep. Leave the power rankings to college football.

All that matters is if you make the playoffs and win the Super Bowl.

I have a funny story to tell. In August, my daughter was participating in a week-long basketball camp @ DeSales College, about 10 minutes from the Eagles camp at Lehigh College, near Bethlehem, PA. While she had a classroom break, I took my 7 yr old son & ran over to Lehigh to catch some of the Eagles training camp. On your way in there are vendors selling Eagles gear everywhere. I just had to be a wise guy. I went over to a vendor & asked if he had any Cardinal gear to sell. He responded " Who are they". My response "You know - that team that beat the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game??. Needless to say, we almost came to blows!! My son got quite the chuckle out of that.

I have people here in KC do double takes all the time when I wear my Fitz jersey.

Mostly I hear, hey I have him on my fantasy team, get that one all the time.

Probably the most impressive though is the Steelers fans looks of respect.
