Let's face it these days Mortenson et al dont' care. If Warner starts they say see I told you. If Matt starts they say well Kurt was going to be named the starter but after my story leaked, the Cards rethought it and went with Matt.

What's really sad is that last night on tv the local sports guys were saying Kurt was named the starter obviously going with the Mortenson report. Craig Foughy was the only one who said it couldn't be confirmed. He said he was in contact with the club and they had no comment. I guess its perfectly okay to report rumours as news. With that said, Kurt probably should and probably will be named the starter but lets wait and hear it from the coach.

Are you trying to compare your"source" to someone Mortenson would talk to? Don't cover your tracks now on what was an outrageous prediction of "Q" already on his way to Philly. While Mortenson does jump the gun to break stories, your someone I know talked to "Q" is not in the same league as a ESPN source. I don't think there is anyway Wiz can start Matt now, and he is just trying to ease his feelings. This way Matt hasn't learned about the demotion from the media ie Mortenson. Of course this is just my opinion and I have no source or real information to draw it from.

In the past Whiz has not liked conjecture from the media...and he doesn't cave into it.

He says "no decision has been made," but what he probably means is, "no decision needs to be announced right away."

BTW....you guys are right on about Mortenson. He is extremely hit or miss on his "sources" IMO Shefter is the best in the business. He is the epidomy of journalism and checks his facts over and over before reporting them
