Except Montana to Rice ain't happening any time soon
I would always hand the ball off to Bo Jackson personally... but the run backwards 15 yards and then throw deep to Rice would always work too

On the bright side, our defense was very good today, particularly given the fact that they had to spend way too much time on the field because of our inept offense.
Whisenhunt actually knew how to call plays. I have yet to see what this staff does well.
I would take the late Buddy Ryan. Someone has to punch the offensive coordinator in the face.I would cry tears of joy if whiz was brought back...that's how bad it is. Hell I'd take Joe Bugel right about now
How about that timeout before half to punt the ball back to the bears for no reason. Yeah this coaching staff is atrocious and will be out after one year.
Dude, you don't call a counter on 3rd and 2 in Madden, let alone in real life with your backup running back. Simply nuts!

Here’s the Presser. I see 2 things.
1. It sounds like Rosen is the QB moving forward.
2. Wilks and his talk of the system vs executing plays screams Whisenhunt
Does anyone see a common theme here? Talk of systems and execution from two of the last three coaches and even in some ways BA was the same with only a different approach. This goes back to Bidwill and Keim. Apparently this is what they want to hear from candidates for HC. They must believe you need a system to be successful. I much rather have a HC who is more into developing and adjusting to make the best use of the players he has. Too much rigidity here. If I have a David Johnson he's my queen in a chess game to move around and use to do as much damage as I can. 16 touches in the last game isn't going to do that. This is why Edmonds was in the game on that 3rd and 2, because it was his turn to go in and that's how we do things.
This is just how coaches talk today. Every system is fundamentally sound and adapts to attempts to exploit it. The players do have to execute that plan. The question is usually who’s more at fault for the poor execution?Does anyone see a common theme here? The issue becomes when you claim you have players and then have them on the bench for game deciding plays. The DJ decision yesterday just sped up the timeline of Wilks getting fired. You can't get Larry only two targets and keep him backing you. You can't run a vertical route to DJ, have him score, and then never do it again and have your vets backing you. You can't talk about being aggressive, preach playing aggressive, and then coach not to lose and keep your locker room. This is just how coaches talk today. You can’t fire all the players.

It is because McCoy's playbook is predominantly horizontal or come-back routes. That is why you saw DBs squatting and driving up on the ball for interceptions. When you have zero fear of vertical routes (not even just deep passes), you can just sit on routes and break on the ball. That is why we had those two chunk plays, one to DJ and one to Kirk. The DBs were not honoring the vertical route of any kind. The main issue is that we did not exploit these issues when we were ahead in the game to make the defense play a more honest type of football. This was beyond bizarre. They started calling plays that worked & decided to go away from it. It was unbelievable.

This is one of the reasons Arians had the locker room. HE backed up what he said to the players from day 1. Wilks has been the exact opposite.Yes. This is fair. It's hard to talk about Trust, [ ], and Accountability when your staff isn't showing any.
The Arizona BaginalsThis team is a dumpster fire, which is why I didn’t want Rosen seeing the field this early in the season. Might be time for the brown paper bagers to make an appearance next “home” game
Everything from score to Tribusky's interceptions screams to this. Even Gurely's 2.7 YPA helps, kinda, fortify that defensively Cardinals are OK. IMO, it appears, the defense is effective except when it needs to be.
It's ok. The plan in the off-season was for him to have way more than that.Bob McManamanVerified account@azbobbymac 57s57 seconds ago
Cardinals RB David Johnson is tied for 33rd in the NFL in rushing with 116 yards on 34 carries. Three quarterbacks have more rushing yards than he does.
