Blake Harris tells ESPN that he just committed to Missouri. The Tigers now have their point guard for next year. With the addition of Harris the SEC has 21 top 100 recruits headed to their conference. The most of any power conference.

Rutgers graduate transfer guard Nigel Johnson will play his final year of eligibility at Virginia, he announced Saturday.

“Everything was right,” Johnson told ESPN of his decision. “Heard the right things, good fit, I’m home.”

Former Memphis standouts Dedric and K.J. Lawson are transferring to Kansas, their father, Keelon Lawson, told CBS Sports on Monday.

A formal announcment is expected soon.

Dedric Lawson is a former McDonald’s All-American who averaged 19.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists this season while his brother K.J. averaged 12.3 points and 8.1 rebounds. Each will sit out next season per normal NCAA transfer rules and then play for the Jayhawks in the 2018-19 season.

UCLA's Welsh and Holiday to enter NBA draft without agents
LOS ANGELES (AP) — UCLA starting center Thomas Welsh and top reserve Aaron Holiday are entering their names in the NBA draft, but neither will hire agents.

A team spokesman announced their decisions Monday.

By not hiring agents, both players retain their right to return to school next season. They have until May 24 to withdraw from the draft, which is June 22.

Steve Fisher has retired.

The legendary San Diego State men’s basketball coach informed his staff, players and university President Elliot Hirshman of his decision Monday, the Union-Tribune has learned.
