Texas Tech has agreed to a new 6-year deal with Chris Beard, sources told ESPN. Beard is the Big 12 Co-Coach of the Year and a candidate for the National Coach of the Year.
Beard’s deal is worth in excess of $19 million over six years. That’s a long way from the ABA, Angelo State and McCurry — which is where he was just a few years ago.
Five finalists for the Cousy Award: Devonte’ Graham (Kansas), Joel Berry II (North Carolina), Trae Young (Oklahoma), Jalen Brunson (Villanova), and Jevon Carter (West Virginia).
