Former Ohio State HC Thad Matta is a serious candidate for the vacancy at Georgia, per multiple sources. Discussions between both sides could begin as early as today.

Thad Matta on spurning Georgia: "It was the most difficult decision because Georgia is a tremendous opportunity for a coach to build a great program. Unfortunately, I just don’t feel that I am completely ready at this point to give Greg McGarity and Georgia what they deserve."

Interesting that Metu decided to not play last night for USC, they won, and he got ripped by the USC fanbase. Metu ripped back on Twitter then deleted it but he basically said it's his future (NBA) at risk not the fans and he apologized for USC fans who sold out the Galen center(not sold out) and then said oh never mind.

I don't like Metu at all, too many on court incidents, but I kind of agree with him. USC didn't get an NCAA bid, everytime he steps on the court now he's risking NBA money by possibly getting hurt, the smart thing for him to do is not play

This season the FBI stuff etc it has proven what many of us already know about the real motivations most of these kids play for and Metu showed that

UCLA fans are supposed to be flying another banner today in the latest effort to get alford fired after the loss to St Bonaventure.

Supposed to fly one at 2:20 PM today, they're apparently notifying the media in advance so they get better coverage.

I want a new coach too and the message they picked is by far less offensive than some of way too personal ones they were discussing. I don't like the banner approach but I do think the current status seems to be that UCLA is leaning to keep Alford and that's a mistake IMO.
