Deion Sanders has already implemented his style of coaching to the college football world, but he is not satisfied yet. Earlier this week Coach Prime, suggested during his first spring press conference that he wants to change Colorado's spring game.

Sanders wants to practice for a few days against another program and then play an NFL-style preseason game instead of a traditional scrimmage against your own squad. Syracuse head coach Fran Brown was all over the idea and now those plans seem to have taken another step closer to becoming a real possibility.

The Post-Standard in Syracuse reported Friday evening that Colorado and Syracuse have filed paperwork to the NCAA to allow a series of joint practices followed by a scrimmage at Folsom Field on April 19.

Although any groundbreaking idea with Coach Prime at the helm seems possible, there are still several hurdles to be cleared before the Orange come to face the Buffaloes in Boulder. For starters, the NCAA does not currently allow teams to hold offseason scrimmages.

But with both schools submitting paperwork the process is officially underway with the next stages in the hands of the NCAA.

CU's spring game will be televised on ESPN2 one of only two spring games across the country it be nationally broadcast. The audience would be there and after this week, the college football world seems to be all for the idea of a Syracuse vs. Colorado exhibition.

"I'm praying that [Brown] is the guy that's going to make that jump," Sanders said at this week's Big 12 Pro Day. "His university, we've already communicated. Fran, I love you and I appreciate you and I'm praying that it happens."

Everyone around college football should be praying that the NCAA approves the waiver as it could change spring football for the foreseeable future.
