Plus, James Daniels (Iowa), Isaiah Wynn (Georgia) and Frank Ragnow (Arkansas) are all legit first year starters at C who could be on the board with Billy Price (Ohio St.) at #47. This is the best and deepest C group in years. Mason Cole (Michigan) and Sean Welsh (Iowa) are also very good.

An OT that runs a 5.85, I guess also ran a 5.77, and only presses 14 times is really, really bad. Slow and weak is not what you want from an OL. Especially one a NFL.COM draft profile also says doesn't have good knee bend and a high center of gravity.

What a disaster for him.

They had him at a 6.12 draft grade. Those numbers don't showcase such a prospect. Also NFLN pointed out that all the other slow guys... weren't drafted.

He's gotten by on his size, and hasn't put in the work. That's not going to fly in the NFL. Being as tall as he is will be a disadvantage against speed rushers.

Sure, but can he look off a safety and drop the ball in to his receiver on the sideline in Cover 2? That's the main question with him...can he make the necessary touch throws that don't require a rocket arm.

It's not racist lol. If you have Lamar as your QB, you have to run a very specific offense for him. Teams that don't want to run that type of offense have no use for him as a QB...plain and simple.

Guys with that size, athleticism, and arm don't get asked to do anything but QB. Jamarcus Russell, and Cam are good examples. Lamar likes to run, a lot, and with his frame teams don't want to take the risk of injury.

LJ should take every opportunity to show that he wants to be in the NFL. Anything he can do to show his skills to different teams will enhance his chance to be drafted.

Teams probably think more of him as someone to add to the roster if they want to see him in different roles/positions.

Of course he wants to be considered a QB but there is nothing wrong with first getting on a roster and then showing your skillset to the coaching staff.

Case in point is Kordell Stewart who had an 11 year career as a 'Slash' player---he got on the field because of his ability at multiple positions including QB, WR, and even RB.

Another case in point is Eric Crouch, a Heisman Winner QB who was drafted by the Rams in the 3rd round. Martz wanted to take advantage of the guy's ability and switch him to WR. Crouch fought the move and, combined with multiple injuries, washed out---even later tried S. He bounced around and disappeared.

LJ can come to play like Kordell Stewart or fight the decision like Eric Crouch. He'd do well to heed Kordell Stewart's experience and not Eric Crouch.
