"What’s new that sucks: Hey, your GM is a drunk! This is what you get for hiring a GM who looks like he should be a strength coach. Steve Keim should be selling questionable vitamins to roidheads at your local Planet Fitness, but instead he’s been placed in charge of a full NFL roster."

Holy crap that is amazing

Sam Bradford AND Mike Glennon? Ace Of Base put more effort into their lyrics than our front office puts into roster construction.”

Awesome. I’m totally ripping this off.

I can see why some of this stuff is funny to people and I totally understand the enjoyment some get from reading it but as a long time Cardinal fan going all the ways back to the late seventies... it's a lump of accumulative cliches which does not even cause me to grin, wit being used on a rusty butter knife of worn Cardinal jokes

I feel like Magary is gaslighting the hell out of us, by choosing so many fan responses that can't even spell the owner's name correctly.

you realize they do this for EVERY team, right?

there overwhelming majority of the satire surrounded our new QB with Bradford is more fragile than Mr. Glass in Unbreakable... or our GM getting an extreme DUI right before training camp... or our the President of the team wading into political waters... ALL of which were new issues for the team. So, how are they cliches when each issue really dug into is new?

I swear, the inability for some people being able to laugh at themselves or their teams is really weird to me. Eddie Murphy in his prime could make the funniest joke of all time at the Cards expense and some of you would wire your jaws shut just to keep from cracking a smile.

I don't live in AZ, and have only flown out for a game once (in 1997), but this part was just hysterical:

"Bradford will be in charge of showing rookie Josh Rosen where everything is located in the training room. He knows where ALL the best medical tape is tucked away, especially those wide crinkly rolls! Rosen, as you know, fell in the draft for having actual human thoughts, which is a big no-no both in this league and in the state of Arizona proper. If you don’t wear a MAGA hat and walk around with enough open-carry firearms to star in a freaking Sicario sequel, this state will ask for your papers."

It was both funny and brutal. Made Arizona out to be a gun toting Republican southern state from way back. Some of it was actual truth from back in the day like Bidwill being the cheapest owner in the NFL. He was for sure. That's why I'm so happy Michael has taken over the team. I think he has done a good job as an owner. At least I have real hope for the team every year instead of dreaming for an 8-8 season like I use to. This team has come a long way thanks to Michael Bidwill and of course all of us die hard fans that refuse to give up on this team. I remember my favorite time of the year was draft time because we always had a top ten pick. Thank God those days are gone!

Of course they do it for every team, I am well aware of that and this has become a yearly article for all thirty two. There also lies part of the problem, it's not as much as the writer thinks it's funny but merely going through a check list attempting to say something funny under the pretext of calculated wit which saps the humor. It's not very funny but forced with obvious punchlines which lack actual comic affect and if this was put on stage it would be received with a certain silence unless the political banter undercurrent which is more than anything Bidwill might have endorsed makes you chuckle depending on your political affiliation and not really being Cardinal funny

I laugh at myself constantly, which is one of the few tricks of getting through this life so there is no need to go full West Coast passive aggressive by saying 'some' people when you mean me and then draw that assumption by what I think of an article's content on the Cardinals includes my whole overall perspective at life the universe and everything as the late great Douglas Adams would say. Of course K9 will appreciate this attempt since can anyone here really think K9 smiles with glee when the Cardinals do well or really is upset when they do not, he is indifferent for the most part with the objective to be critical and expand on his football knowledge which is immense and far greater than mine with the Cardinals as his foundation of commentary

Now Eddie Murphy in his prime probably would make me chuckle, but honestly Redd Foxx would make me laugh with tears in my eyes by simply using his "you big dummy" line in reference to Keim opposed to this article

BTW, Cheese I think if you where writing this article, it would have been far more funnier in my own reception because from your posts you exhibit far more intellect and wit than this guy and I say this with sincerity because you really do care when the Cardinals win

How is it a shame? Arizona is known for some of the most embarrassing politics in US history.
Because I don't need editorials from people who support one party and hate on the other and what their opinion is. I'm not a fan of Mccain but he wished death upon him in the article. Pretty crude and classless. He clearly leans left, which is okay, but there is no reason to throw your partisan bickering into a sports article. That's all.

I missed that line about McCain. Yeah... that was beyond uncalled for.
