I spent all morning at rookie camp and am going back tomorrow. Jo and Ian Sparkes were there too working in the heat.

I talked to Bryan Gilmore today and Chrissy Mauck. Tomorrow, it's DE coach Cary Godette or die. I won't let him get away.

Thanks to Jim Omohundro for all the info he's posted. I tried to corral Rod Graves but couldn't get him. Talked to Mac.

Full report Tuesday night or Wed. morning, promise. I'm whipped. 109 degrees out there today.

Skkorp thanks for all the hard work you guys put into what your doing.

Hopefully there will be many of us posting Training Camp reports again this year?

I know I posted a few lengthy ones last year as well as you and ajcardfan.

It will be nice to get lots of input from many different people especially since we all seem to key in on different things at camp!

If Im welcome I will send you some reports again this year?

It's got to be tough standing in the heat and watching young football players on a hot sunny day. If you need a day off please call me ' I'll be more than happy to suffer through a day or tw.
Thanks for the report if you all recover.

Skkorp - I can't tell you how much terrific fun I'm having sitting here in good old rainy NJ fighting "Son of SARS" and not having to watch the Cardinal rooks first hand in the AZ sunshine.

There are so many things I'd rather do here than have to be at the Cardinal training facility - like (a) having my water turned off, while I watch these guys replace my furnace and hot water heater, (b) voting in a meaningless primary election (with no contests on the ballot), (c) reading about the "choke-up Devils" in the morning papers or (d) trying to get a couple of clients to actually make a decision.

(You can't make the rain go away, Jim, but a couple of cold brews can at least make the heat bearable).

Seriously, it means a lot to know what's going down with the Cards - whether it be minicamp, training camp or the sidelines and lockerrooms during the season.

I hope the Cardinal brass realizes that allowing you and Jo do this will help expand a growing hard-core fan base who'll know football better and have a better understanding of why the Cards do what they do.

My jealousy is only exceeded by my appreciation for what you and Jo and others are doing to bring us the "real" lowdown on what the Cards are up to.

Very good points Jeff. This board has made me more of a fan, I know that for a fact!

Keep the info coming Skkorp, we all appreciate it more than you would ever understand.

Maybe there's someone out there who is as big a fanatic as the guy who posts on one of the UTexas football sites. This fan posts play by play with commentary on every Longhorn scrimmage, every day!

eg. "7 on 7, 1st team D vs.2nd team O Joe Blow at Qb:

1st down O35 -Young 3yds off left tacle, nice hit by ROLB A. Brooks, even the kickers looked up."

So which one of you is going to step up at camp this summer and do that for ASFN?

Mac left Jo and I in know doubt that he knew who were were and appreciated what ASFN is doing.

What I saw was coaches that seemed very determined to make this an improved team this year
