Michael Gallup retired from the NFL before the 2024 season but a couple of weeks ago, he announced his plans to return to football. It didn’t take long for him to find a team willing to give him an opportunity, signing with the Washington Commanders on Thursday.
Gallup, 29, spent the first six years of his career with the Cowboys from 2018-2023 before retiring. A former third-round pick out of Colorado State, Gallup has 266 career receptions for 3,744 yards and 21 touchdowns.
He set career-highs in receptions (66), yards (1,1070) and touchdowns (6) in 2019 with Dallas but had just 1,287 yards and eight touchdowns in his final three seasons with the team.
