I realize that some may say this is premature--but honestly, this series is over.

The people of Phoenix and the Suns have my ultimate respect. They whipped my team fair and square. They are poised and have great discipline. Props to Coach Alvin Gentry and Steve Kerr.

Best wishes against the Lakers--they are the team that we just positively hate--probably just the same way that Suns fans hate the Spurs.

I Support the Suns for the 2010 NBA Championship. Congratulations on a magnificent year and winning the right way.

I think it'll be the Suns and Cavs for all the goods.

I feel like it's the Sun's year, but.. they got Lebron.

That's a pretty darned good Orlando team over there also. They won 59 games for a reason and they are healthy and motivated. Not quite sure how we'll get past the Lakers either.

Speaking only for myself, I hate, envy and occasionally respect the Spurs. I simply hate the Lakers, Magic Johnson (the player) notwithstanding.

I'm still hoping to be there for a game 5 but no matter what happens, if it's not my team...then my credo is as follows: ANYONE BUT THE LAKERS.

Should this go the way of all the other 3-0 leads, then I commend you guys for sticking it to the Spurs. I will point out though that it took a San Diegan who used to be a San Antonian that has 2 rings with the Spurs, who built this Phoenix team to be able to get past the Spurs and beyond. You guys should be thanking Steve Kerr profusely.

Still hoping for a Game 5.

The interesting thing about this Suns team is that is reminds me of the Spurs team during the championship years--they kept their cool, stuck to their plan, and they were able to come back no matter how large the deficit they may be at the time. There is an inner strength to this Suns team--it has character. I am saddened by the demise of my team, but I am happy for the people of Phoenix. I know how exciting it is to win an NBA Championship in your city, and I predict the Suns will achieve this by defeating the hated Lakers and the Cavs.

Cannot say this enough--this Suns team is truly magnificent. They players are humble--in stark contrast to the Lakers. I will scream my lungs out in the next round for the Suns--they are so close to the promised land.

Very well said. Not sure if we have enough to beat down the Lakers, especially with Lopez out. And even if he returns, he won't have his legs under him. But, as you so appropriately stated, there is an inner strength about this team that I have never seen in any other Suns team.
Love the job Gentry has done... LOVE IT!!

That's my sense too. They beat the Spurs like the Spurs used to do to the Suns, with poise and resilience. And, the best thing is that the evolution of the new Suns hasn't really finished yet. For one, Amare still has holes in his game. He can improve on defense as well as becoming smarter even on offense. And Nash can become more efficient like Stockton. Think if we play regular season with Nash playing around 30 min and handling the ball only 20 min, he will have enough juice to keep beating those switches like tonight and 3 years ago. Then, we will have the better version of Malone-Stockton with much better supporting cast than the Jazz of then. If not this year, we will win it all in the next two years. :)

Thanks Greg. All Lakers-hating Spurs fans are welcome, assuming it's the Suns playing the Lakeshow, of course. ;)

You should never think like that. Ask Charles Barkley how he felt after losing to the Bulls. He felt he'd always get back...but then never did. If the team is truly a team of destiny, the only time to think about...is NOW!

Good point on the growth curve not being complete yet.

But you know what? I actually don't care if we win the title in the next two years. Seriously. I will take it, of course I will.

But I mostly just want to see a team like this keep playing like they are. Bunch of talented guys who play hard, with character and don't give up and play as a team. For each other and their fans.

If they keep that up, I'm happy regardless of titles. Frankly, all the title pressure and talk in the last few years took a lot of the fun out of the game for the Suns it seemed (and for some fans).

Much better to play the right way and if it leads to a title? Oh how sweet that would be. But it's like dessert at that point.

Im loosly stealing this from somebody and I dont remember who, BUT

I dont want to look back on these past few years thinking damn what a fun team that was to watch, I dont care about a ring. WE HAVE TO WIN A RING or I wont be happy.

Sure, for the players, they gotta believe this is the year. I was just talking from fans perspective.

And I truly believe we can get it done this year already. If Parker couldn't kill us with our improved defense from Nash, the weakest link on defense, it's just won't be easy to score against this Suns, particularly if Lopez comes back for the next two rounds. :)

There is no time like the present.

This is the moment for the Suns--not next year or the year thereafter. Its now. I totally agree with the Man in Black.

Getting to this point is so elusive. You can have a tremendous team and sometimes fate has a cruel twist that changes everything. Perhaps a critical injury. Or a collection of bad breaks. No one knows this better than the Dallas Mavs. They got past the Spurs and were ahead 2-0 against Miami and then things collapsed. And it has never been the same for the Mavs.

No--the Suns really needs to stay focused like Grant Hill has been preaching--and Suns fans need to think more positively as far as the next series against the Lakers. The Suns can definitely win in LA and grab home court.

I really think the veteran leadership on this team is the big difference for us this year. Grant Hill wants this more than anything, its still Steve Nashs team, J-Rich is HUNGRY, Amar'e is playing for max money(I think), and then its the intangible type players we have. Our whole bench is nonstop HUSTLE HUSTLE HUSTLE. This team is giving me a good feeling.
