Great game. I'm not quite sure if he'll ever be a #1 or #2 because of his pitch count / stamina issues. He seems to lose it around 90 pitches or so. But he can become one of the best #3's in baseball.

But if he can ever sort out his pitch count problem, he'll definitely be a solid #1 or #2.

Agreed... with his stuff, he should be getting to the 7th inning in 90 pitches or less. Needs to focus on throwing strikes EARLY in the count and the slamming the door... Hope he can get there!

He's stillvery young and will improve those areas. Good to see that he got his first MLB win tho. One of the very rare players on this team that may be untradable.

How about the attitude of the team? We were not the ones making base running errors and a lazy outfielder throw, they were.

Bring on to morrow.

Well, Max is no longer the Best Pitcher in the Majors who never won a game.

Man, do we need a big bat at cleanup to hit between Upton and Reynolds.

Drew is becoming a good hitter, but cleanup? If I were a D'backs starting pitcher, I'd shudder every time I take the mound.

How much better would the following look?

Lopez
Drew
Upton
Dunn
Reynolds
Jackson
Byrnes
Snyder
Pitcher

Drew is not a number 2 hitter. If Jackson was healthy he would be a hell of a lot better at the 2 spot than Drew.

But yes Dunn makes us look so much better right now.

Upton
Dunn
Reynolds
Drew
Young
Snyder

with Webb healthy could get us the NL West this year.

Either way, it would have made our starting four go from good to very good to outa sight once Brandon is back in action.

D Haren EARNED RUNS 13 INN 56 ERA 2.09 W-L 3-4

D Davis EARNED RUNS 18 INN 50 1/3 ERA 3.22 W-L 2-5

Scherzer EARNED RUNS 14 INN 37 2/3 ERA 3.35 W-L 1-3
_________________________________________________________
2-3-4 EARNED RUNS 45 INN 144 ERA 2.81 W-L 6-12

ERA 2.81 ... W-L 6-12

Way to go, Josh Byrnes. Drew just back from injury batting cleanup.

Desperation, man. Desperation.

Challenging Washington for the worst record in the league.

Dunn is gone. Past history. Nothing we can do about it except lament. Moving on is more satisfying.

I agree with you. I actually posting something similar about a week ago.

I was just playing the "what if" game. I, like many others, didn't really care if Dunn stuck around or left. Just interesting to look at. This would be a completely different team with Dunn.
