Great player, very good Oline coach who is a big reason the Cards have had success the last 3 years. Remember how bad this Oline used to be?

congratulations. but the system needs to be changed. Rickey Jackson?????????????????? over Carter, Brown ,Sharpe, or aout 5 other guys. What a joke. I guess Simeon Rice has a shot because i think they were similar players. If the Saints weren't in the SB he doesn't get in. Why that would matter is beyond me but all you have to do is have a good PR guy and you're in. This was the 1st year he was even a finalist. So he goes from not being good enough to make the final cut, to HOF'er. Ridiculous. At least Grimm had been a finalist before.

Taking out Cardinals bias, does anyone here think Jackson was a better player tha Aeneas, who didn't make the cut?

Does the system need to be altered? Yes, adding some former HOF players would be a step in the right direction. Rickey Jackson deserves his nod because he played on 1 of the greatest LB corp EVER!!! Jackson may also be the greatest Saints player ever.

I believe the voters are making a mistake with Carter for an ongoing 3 times now, but only 5 modern guys get in so it becomes a numbers game. I believe the only reason CC wasn't elected is because they didnt want to elect 2 or more WR's in the same class as the greatest WR ever to done an NFL uniform. Carter probably had the greatest hands in the history of the league. Throw in the fact thats its been 27 years since 2 WR's got in on the same ballot & its not a suprise that CC or Brown werent inducted.

Aeneas will soon be in Canton. Only players that the so called "experts" are the best to ever play their positions get in on the 1st ballot.

Good thing to know. Have to find a way to pass that on to Andre Reed.

The guy in the stands who used to scream that in the stands should introduce Russ with that call!
That would be too cool! Bet the crowd would start that too.

Congrats to a guy who played for the Redskins?!? Never, not in a million years. I could care less that he is our Oline coach. I've "hated" the Redskins since I was a little kid and I'm not changing now. Whining and crying every time Coryell's team beat them. :barf:

Hey Grimm, how about getting some of the Cardinals offensive linemen to play at a HOF level. Then I'll give you some props.

As far as him being a player goes congratulations he was one of the best. As far as his tenure as the Cardinals coach I will pass. I won't miss him a bit when he's gone every time I hear he's up for a new job I hope he gets it.

Sorry , flame away............

I believe our offensive line has underperformed and lacks discipline. I'm tired of watching them look confused when the defense makes adjustments and they struggle with their line sunts. Their technique is poor and that's a clear sign of not being ready to play. I don't see any smack you in the mouth attitude from anyone on our offensive line and that is also an indication of coaching style. And it really drives me nuts to watch them try to run a draw play or a screen. IMO They're ill-prepared for what they're doing and play confused and that's on him. Of course that's all just my opinion.

Do I ever agree with this. To me it looks like the Cards pass block on every play and try to run through the gaps. Our Oline just doesn't seem to get any push off the line of scrimmage on run plays.

They don't pass block all that well either. Warner was just very good the last couple of years at getting the ball out quickly and making precise throws to spots where even a well covered receiver could make the catch.

I think this is because of the system we ran last year. Give them a year with the system Whiz and Grimm are from.

I hope so. It will be an interesting year for sure. It's been a long time since the Cards have had a combination of running backs like BWells and Hightower.

Now if only some of Whis' being around the Ravens and Steelers defenses has rubbed off on him.

Juice & Stump...ahh, those were the days. The cokehead Earl Ferrell was pretty damn good as well.
