where you get a player should never cloud the evaluation, it's irrelevant. The truth is the cardinals have been inserting guys from the mid rounds into the RB position for decades.

I never have figured that out. Almost all the first and second round RBs over the last 25 years or so have been busts and the guys that actually produced were found late in the draft.

Stump Mitchell was an 8th
Johnny Johnson was a 7th
Ron Moore a 4th
Marcel Shipp was an UDFA

I said last week that I would remain skeptical until Hightower had a 100 yd game. OK, i'm no longer skeptical. I liked him and Arrington today. RB is no longer, for me, a Cardinal blue chip need in the 2009 draft.

Good job Tim.

Tip of the cap to JJ for making the most of limited carries.

if Timmy's the real deal, he'll go along way towards making me not vomit every time I see Peterson's stats.

kid looks like a real stud so far. nose for the endzone, solid burst, good power and a 5th rounder, which means he's gonna cheap for at least another year. good things all around!

:cough: Not to mention ol' heart and intensity had a big block on T.H.'s TD run :cough:

Saw that. "one" cheer for Levi.

The good news for Levi is that he probably won't have to face Patrick Kerney in two weeks in Seattle.

Edge is sweating bullets right now, granted Hightower did have a great game but it was kind of against a wweak defense, but still it was a impressive performance no doubt by a rookie rb in his first nfl start of his carrer hopefully many more to come :). I just love watching Hightower he runs with so much speed for a guy his size and he never goes down on first contact I still hope Edge can give us something the remainder of the season and help us in the playoffs because we will still need Edge at some point. But grats Hightower on your first 100 yard game!!!

He had a great career, I hope he has a very smooth landing and realizes his days are probably numbered as a football player. He certainly has demonstrated a lot of class so far and I am sure that will continue.

or 5 YPC (well just under it)? 22 carries for 109 yards and a TD, I'll take that against a good Rams D.

The D hasn't been the Rams problem this season. Their offense has been ABYSMAL

Didn't he have TWO good 10+ yard carries called back do to penalties?

I couldn't help but have a smirk on my face when Hightower broke that 30 yard touchdown...AZ hasn't seen a run like that in awhile!

Congrats on your game TH against a BAD rams team...now lets see it when a team is expecting you and has some sort of game plan in place with your name on it. You guys are so desperate for a quick fix for our run game your crowning a rookie who surpised a BAD NFL team. You know what would fix our running game....and Oline that knows how to block!

:lmao:

If he go's out and throw a good game on the niners you will crow about them being bad too and say something stupid like Edge would have had a good game too.

lol, let it go man, let it go.

How many games like this, has Edge had against "bad" teams lately?

The Rams just beat the Redskins, who incidentally, have arguably the best RB in football. :mulli:
