Congrats to the UofA softball team making it to the World Series

Another year, another Mike Candrea team in the Women's College Softball World Series. I think how far they can advance will depend on the health of freshman pitcher Kenzie Fowler. Looks like the line drive she took off her arm is okay. First game is against Tennessee on Thursday.

Cats first game is at 4:00PM AZ time on ESPN2 vs Tennessee.

Agree. How they can not call them all year and then decide to call them now? I feel bad for Kenzie. She is a freshman who has gone through a lot and now the umps play with her head .I wonder if they will call them against Lawrie of Washington?

Cats beat defending champs Washington 4-3 and now play Hawaii later tonight.

Cats beat Hawaii 5-1 and advance to the semi-finals. To reach the championship round, they will have to beat Tennessee twice tomorrow.

Cats beat Tennessee twice today and will take on UCLA in the championship series. Kenzie Fowler is one tough player. She had an IV before game two and got the win. And she is only a freshman!

I was pretty much cheering for UA today just to have the all Pac10 softball final again. Keep the SEC 0 for forever in Softball!

What a rollercoaster game that was. The Cats were one out away and they had two outfield miscues that cost them the game. Then to pitch to Lagenfeld with two outs and no one on was very questionable. I don't know how much more Fowler has left in the tank. She three almost 200 pitches tonight.

Can't get mad at her, she has mono and is one of the main reasons they are in the World Series. Buchanan could of caught the line drive and they would of still won. It's going to be tough to beat UCLA two times in a row. I wonder if Akamine will pitch tomorrow based on how many innings Fowler has thrown in the past three days.

Congrats to UCLA for winning the title. Big props to the UofA softball team for making it all the way to the finals out of the losers bracket. The Cats will be one of the favorites next year as they only lose Arredondo and bring in one of the best pitchers(Shelby Babcock) in the country. Shelby only gave up one earn run all season and she will team up with Fowler to form a strong one-two punch.
