I think a forum might be a little much, but a recipe-a-day thread (ala movie a day) might be appreciated in the body and health forum.

I'd be into this.

I think every submitted recipe....should have an obligatory Rachel Ray pic.

Don't feel bad...the NYT made the same mistake yesterday.

My wife bought me the Soprano’s Family Cookbook. This thing is awesome! I now cook something from the book every Sunday. I’m no genius when it comes to cooking (I spend all of my spare time watching strange movies) but I’ve made some kick ass meals from this book. The instructions are great.

Is anyone else concerned that a poster named "dogpoo" wants to share culinary pursuits?

I'll share my "Liquid Porkchop" recipe any time. Just ask.

Rachel Ray came into my store about a month ago (retail slave getting through college) and boy, what a rude, arrogant SOB. Her assistant had to keep apologizing to everyone for the way she was acting.

I always kind of thought that Rachael Ray was all an act on TV and that in real life she was probably an arrogant *****. I don't have anything to base that on, just kind of a feeling I got by watching her show. Seemed a little over the top fake.

Yup, she was a real piece of work.

We've had some people come in that were really cool and down to earth. George Lopez, Bill Murray, Davis Love, the captain from the Love Boat, Matt Damon.

But the ones like Ray and Reggie Jackson make me want to :barf:

I work for Macy's.

My town is right by Pebble Beach, Big Sur, and Carmel so we always get a lot of celebrities and wealthy people.

Must be kinda cool; kinda sucky to have to see the 'real' side of people. I would die if I ever found out George Clooney was a jerk (don't tell me!!)

Haven't had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Clooney yet.

It's an okay job for retail. The people I work with are great. But the customers I get aren't. You try and talk to them and they'll give you a stare in which you can interpret that they're thinking to themselves "Why are you talking to me? You aren't on my level. I could buy you." Great fun.

I don't like to hear things like this. Rachel looks like a total sweetheart. She looks like the type of woman that would give me the shirt off her back. I cook with her every evening....I should know.

Maybe she was just having a really bad day. Sad thing is that celebrities aren't allowed to have bad days. If you or I go out to a store and we're really grouchy, the rest of the world will still think we're a decent person. If a celeb goes out in public and is grouchy, then they're labeled for life.

Just between me and you, a couple of RaRay's recipes have been borderline disgusting. Still love her though.
