I'm with Russ. Floyd would be a huge improvement @TE with his physical blocking. I'd at least line him up there 4 or 5 times a game.

We move Floyd or Fitz to block in-line pretty frequently. I'd estimate at least 4 or 5 times per game. The problem is that we ask our TEs to block defensive ends one-on-one fairly often, and that's not a matchup that these guys can win. They're just not physically strong enough to do it, even with perfect technique.

It's no guarantee that Cooper will be good, any more than it is/was with Earl Watford (who was back on the inactive list last week). Niklas needs to come back because he's so far behind in his development. He missed all the offseason work, huge portions of the preseason, and Arians is starting to get annoyed. He even called him out in the Thursday presser:

“His situation, talking to the trainers, if he can push the sled he can play because he’s a damn tackle,” Arians said, drawing laughs. “He’s not a wide receiver. He doesn’t have to be worried about making cuts. He better have his ass back on the practice field next week.”

On Doug Martin: Are we sure that he's any good? He's struggled this season and is Tampa's second or third back. Over his last 19 games (which is a reasonable sample size) he's averaged 3.66 YPC.

Yesterday Jureki said that the Cardinals have zero interest in Doug Martin.

Yeah Martin is sort of bizarre he went from looking like a really good young RB to not that good after one injury. I don't remember what the injury was but after a very good rookie year he's barely played, 11 games in the last year and half.

There are apparently several teams interested in him, seems like maybe he's not healthy. In fact just looked listed as having an ankle injury now.

i saw that and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. The best players should play.

agreed. i understand continuity if things are working well, but this O-line and Offense in general still leaves A LOT to be desired and the Gs are one of the biggest reasons why, IMO.

Weirdly worded, won't hesitate to put him in but then at the end it says barring injury he'll spend 14 on the bench.

No but I'm willing to give it a chance. Larsen hasn't done anything to merit keeping the starting LG position, and unquestionably, the player with the most upside is Cooper.

Watford is an afterthought. Any contribution we get from him down the road is gravy. He's here for depth, just like Larsen should be.
