I hope I'm not the only one who wallowed in insomnia over this unbelievably disgusting heart-breaking loss...

Nope.

But I have the sudden urge to go into the Cardinals locker room with a steel chair.

I have been watching the Cards for over 60 years. This is without a doubt the most heartbreaking loss I have ever experienced. I did not sleep well and I feel like I have fallen down and cannot get up.

My only comment is that we played it to safe in the second half. Leinhart was on fire and we could not run. We had a couple of runs but this team still cannot run out a game. I am not sure when I will recover from this. Yes Rackers missed a FG and Ross missed a block but there were other forces at play also. This really really sucks. Leinhart is the real deal and is clearly a top notch NFL QB. Kudos to our DB's who came to HIT!

No. The sad part is ESPN replayed the damned game again!!! :bang: :barf: :computer:

Seeing the picture of Pat Tillman reminded me of a program I watched on the Military Channel this weekend. They did a complete animation of just how he was killed and all the circumstances. They also interviewd all the guys in his company. The guy was truly a hero even if he was shot by his own men. They clearly could not help it as they were under fire and Pat and his companion who was an AFgan with a Turbin were in the hills from where they thought the enemy fire was coming from. He pushed one guy behind a rock and saved his life and stood up waving his arms trying to call off the fire. True grit. His brother was on the same patrol.

As I said in another thread, I had to watch Saving Private Ryan to fall asleep. A bloody, gory movie to fall asleep and relax myself.

Couldnt sleep, couldn't even eat. I was so sick to my stomach. These have been the three worst defeats I can remember. Pretty unreal they have all happened in a row.

Just a football game. Of course I could sleep. A little drunken rampaging in the parking lot though.

Slept from 10:30 pm to 1:30 am.

I've been awake ever since. What a horrible night.

Slept for a few hours but dreamed Cardinal dreams.

In one version they beat the Bears, but then the world was infested by flesh-eating zombies.

Ah well.

Actually I got some after a few hours to slow my heart down.
I'm a deep cards fan and I've gotten used to heartbreaks.
This loss even makes me love the team even more.
Being a cards fan is tough, but in the end tough love is true love.
I will never ever cheer for another team as long as my team is on the field.

I slept fine, but I drank myself to sleep. My parents were visiting me here in Denver and my girlfriend was over. My parents thought I was going to have a coronary by the third quarter!

I drank myself to sleep. At one point, around 3am my time, I had the lights off in the room but I was still sitting on the couch drinking. I think I need help.

So then this morning I passed a couple emails back and forth with the guy from the Washington Times thats stickied above. He said he couldn't believe I was at work already at 10am after being punched in the gut like that. Of course, I was still at home eating doughnuts.

Worst loss I've ever seen in a team sport. Absolutely horrible. I think this loss was 10x worse than the oilers folding in the playoffs to the Bills. At least the Bills scored touchdowns on offense.
