Hey I know we are disappointed in the totality of our 2019 season. But there are fans out there that feel worse than us.

It could be 2018.
You could be a Bears fan where a double doink missed fg kept you out of the NFC championship to missing the playoffs.
Or you could be a Rams fan where you lost the Super Bowl and it’s been downhill since then wondering if you’re even going to watch the playoffs.
Or you could be a Dallas fan in which you deserve to be miserable.
A charger fan who were in the playoffs last year and ... oh wait, there aren’t any charger fans.
Or a Browns fan. Poor bastards.

When you’re a Cardinal fan a big part of the joy of football is the misery of other fans.

Cheer up gang. The arrow is pointing up.

Agree. K1 is one of the reasons I am optimistic. We had chances to be a .500 club but didn't take them.

2019 vs 2018 point differential:

In 2018 it was -200.

That is a terrible number and was worst in the NFL. Its also bad across NFL seasons -- you would have to go back to 2013 to find a worse one (the 4-12 Jags, who started Blaine Gabbert).

in 2019: -81, or -5 per game.

Ordinarily -- a 119 point differential improvement usually means 4 or 5 more wins -- but the Cardinals were starting pretty deep in a hole

it says as much about how bad the 2018 team was -- arguably one of the worst teams fielded in a given season in the last ten years.

We have a QB / HC combo that should keep us around 8-8 for several years.

That's if we do nothing else. Upgrade the D, the OL a bit, and add a WR1, and this could be a really good team. Not expecting all of this in 2020. Looking for 2021 to be special.

I don't have faith in Keim. The inability to maximize on Kyler's rookie contract is going to keep us mediocre IMO. Last year's draft was a turd, just like most of his other drafts. FA is hit and miss.

The #1 Wide Reciever is the biggest need that will be the hardest to find.

Looks like a OL can be found in the first two rounds of the draft, and the conservative move at #8 would be defense.

Unless Jeudy or Lamb are "can't miss" I say go defense with #8.

I'm a bit disappointed in VJ but he did show some promise, he needs a talent upgrade at ILBer, DE and OLBer. Those to me our where we have holes in the D. Reddick may develop (can I say that in year 4 of his career) but someone else besides CJ that can put consistent pressure on the QB.

I'm a little disappointed in KM at this point because I expected him to be more elusive and not run himself into as many sacks as he did. I do believe this is a rookie QB learning curve and truly hope and expect him to become as good as Russel Wilson but at he may only become a top ten QB in this league instead of top 5. The positive is that KM appears to be good enough for us to be serious contenders with an upgrade of talent to the team and his growth through as a player.
