Could the Cards be fined for not reporting Warner's injury?

The reason given for pulling Warner in the 3rd quarter was so that he wouldn't reinjure his shoulder from the stinger he received last week. That shoulder injury wasn't listed on this week's injury report. So can the league fine the Cards for leaving him off considering they admitted to the injury this week? The Jets just got fined for leaving Favre off last year.

Good question, Azlen.

It seems the Cardinals took Warner out of the game as a precaution. It wasn't like Warner was unable to keep playing. At the time it made a great deal of sense because the Cardinals were up 31-3. The fact that he started warming up again later on when the score got closer is sufficient proof that he was good to play.

My understanding is if the player gets treatment for the injury, then it has to be listed.

If he did receive a shoulder stinger last week, I would find it improbable that he wouldn't have received any treatment for it. It also doesn't mean that he wasn't good to play. Simply listing him as shoulder - probable would have been enough. I'll be curious to see if anything comes from it. I doubt it but you never know.

After the way some teams have turned the injury report into a complete farce the last three or four years (led by Belicheck) it seems ridiculous that they would pick something this minor and debatable to fine.

But, we are the Cardinals and maybe they'll get a stick up their butt after the Jets-Favre thing. But, I really doubt it. You could dig up a similar situation on almost every team in the league. I don't think they want to open that can of worms.

They could just pull a stunt like the Patriots and always put Brady on the injury list as "probable = shoulder"
