Let's say we traded our #7 this year for a number #2, and traded next year's first rounder, and a decent player on the squad, could we have got Okafor? If we could, would he have been worth it at center for us? Just a thought since we never discussed trading UP in the draft!

we couldn't trade next years first rounder becouse of our deal with san antonio last year for barbosa.

I thought that was a contingency deal. Besides It didn't HAVE to be NEXT year's first round, I was just throwing out an example, the important part of the thought was trading UP instead of down. Could we have done that, and would it have been worth it?

it is contingent, i believe it is top 22 protected. but since next years season hasn't taken place they can't trade the pick becouse it could end up being san antonio's.
