Kolb is very good, very excited about him being a Cardinal now, you never know for sure but he's got all we need.

Cam is a ton better than I ever thought he'd be. If I ever said he wasn't worth the pick I was wrong.

He's going to be good simply because he can throw so far downfield so well, it stretches the field and keeps the defense honest. He had poise, didn't make bad throws, had a lot of drops, glad we don't play him again.

The decision to defer after we won the toss was stupid, and in most cases it's stupid, please stop this. It SCREWS UP THE POSESSIONS and with that extra possesion in the first half Carolina got a TD, stop it please.

Beanie looked very good other than the fumble on the pitch.

Overall I'm excited about the team.

Oh and DRC who?

LOL!!!!

Newton " was what I thought he'd be."

The danger we put ourselves in was allowing ourselves to be sucked into a schoolyard brawl. Do this against Newton, Smith and Johnson and we're lucky we didn't wind up toast.

You have to be please with what you saw from Kolb... My favorite throw the game was the third down toss to Fitz late.. that was a gorgeous pass put right on the money..

The issue however is the god awful pair of Offensive Tackles that protect him.. He's running for his life half the game, and will be knocked out of a game in the near future unless this is remedied (and we all know it won't be)...

Get Kolb some freaking OTs and I'll be excited..

Beanie also played well other than the ridiculous fumble on the pitch..

If we can find a way for one of our receivers to get open to save Kolb's bacon when he's forced to throw on the run when rolling right, it will increase his effectiveness (which already is pretty good) by 10 - 15 percent.

No one likes to get lit up like Newton/Smith lit us up. We survived and we have a very solid offense.as long as the Oline plays a bit better and Beanie holds the ball and doesn't get injured. Great home win. Got to have those. Nice Peterson return...but celebrate after you score rookie:)

I agree Kolb will miss game time this year due to the OT play.

Beanie wouldve walked in the endzone on that play, even if he slipped & fell down...perfect play call

Beanie started out as a beast. Man if he wouldn't have fumbled that would be TD number 2 for him and a big deal.

Kolb played within himself. He did not force the ball and did not make mistakes. Combine that with Beanie and we have a balanced offense. Fitz didn't look so hot this game. The Hyphen is not very good as a rb. Pleased with the full-back and tight end play.

Our defensive backfield was a disaster, especially Peterson. I am not sure what to think. I did not know if it a defensive scheme problem or an execution problem. What I do know is that Newton was throwing to wide open receivers and passed up lots of others who were open.

I thought Beanie tired in the second half rendering him less effective. I think the Cardinals need to provide him more rest with a second RB other than LSH.

Speaking of LSH, he was great on special teams. He really puts out the effort.

Kolb dosen't know our offense or our WR's well yet either, was most concerned with his arm strength but it's good enough.

He throws a good deep ball.

He's a leader, and has a lot of poise, but maybe needs more moxie? :)

Yeah he's been in the league long enough not to let that fumble on the pitch happen.

In terms of slipping, he trips over everything, I think it's how he's built, don't know but he isn't the most balanced back I've ever seen that's for sure, any kind of lower body hit sends him into death spasms in terms of staying on his feet.

At least 2 times he tripped over his own feet today.

That's why I balk at anyone who ever suggests that Beanie is or can be an elite back.

A few of his trips, you could see the lanes that would've turned his runs into 10 more yards, or even much further. I've seen literally 15 runs like that in his career. If he doesn't trip up so often, we'd be comparing him with the top 10 backs in the league.

1: Kolb taking credit for Beanie missing the pitch in the post game. He said that he can't throw it at his hip, and it won't happen again. Leadership and personal accountability like this will trickle down to the rest of the team.

2: Wells runs with terrible balance and has terrible feet. He lacks the ability to stick his foot in the ground and change direction. Several receptions the he had today would have gone for more yardage, but he couldn't change direction and ended up running out of bounds.

3: Levi Brown is really bad.

4: Daryl Washington was playing fast today, and it's because he is getting this defense. He may still lack the size to shut plays down at point of attack, but in a passing league, I'll take his quickness in coverage and in blitzing.

5: Patrick Peterson is going to be real good. While he gave up catches, he also seemed to be in the right area and almost made some good plays on the ball. Like Washington, as he gets more comfortable his speed will startto really show.

Was good leadership for sure. Trying to deflect off Beanie who absolutely should have caught it.

Yup

Hate to admit but this is true. Makes losing Williams for the season that much worse.

Do we know what happened to Washington? He got hurt and I don't htink he was in the last drive. I thought it was cramps when they showed it on the field.

1.) Cards are far better on defense when Dan Williams is in the game.

2.)Wilson is favoring his injured arm. That is to be expected but hope it doesn't affect his play too adversely. Watch the hit he put on DeAngelo Williams on the 2nd play of Carolina's second drive.

3.) Having a TE in Heap who doesn't fall down as soon as he catches a pass is a real treat.
