When a good NFL team gets a huge turnover inside the 25 what do they do on the first play from scrimmage?

Shoot for the TD.....

Why when we got the turnover inside the 20 (19) do we run edge up the gut and end up getting 3...

I trust in Whis - but come on - when you get those huge turnovers inside the 25 show your offense you have faith in them and take the shot...Any good team would...

Another non cards issue - first game I got to attend this year...WHy on the review do the fans not get to see the replay - is it just us or some league wide rule?? If I was at home watching, I would have gotten to see the replay numerous times while the ref was under the hood. At the game you just have to wait for the call...painfull...

Other notes that may be debatable -

Rolle is making some plays - still making some dumb penalties, but he is making some plays.

Greene is a liability, how can it be so hard to turn and look for the damn ball...There is no way he can't see the receivers eyes grow when the ball is in the air. He refuses (it seems) to turn and look for the ball.

This game and last it seemed like we got into a run run pass mantra - seemed whis was mixing it up much better in the first quarter of the season.

BTW does the damn patriotic cheerleader uniform want to make you kill yourself...thank god they changed at half.

Go big red - we need a road win NOW!!!

Usually if it's a home town review, they'll show it. Now if it's challenged from the away team they won't. They don't want to help the opposing coaches in anyway. Or it could be that they just don't want to start a riot.

I didn't see problem with the cheerleaders.... ah, I mean the cheerleader outfits.

He's probably referring to the fact that they were wearing long shorts instead of hot pants.

What ever happened to the little skirts cheerleaders used to wear? I think this country is starting to regress. The next thing you know, the gals will be wearing burkas. :D

1. Teams are not allowed to show reviews in the stadium until the review outcomes have been decided, I believe.

2. Eric Green usually covers the other team's fastest/best WR. Roy Williams will beat every db in the league most of the time when singled up. In my opinion, Green is better than many fans believe. With Wilson and Francisco hurt, we don't have much safety talent needed to properly help out the dbs.
Despite all this, our pass coverage is not terrible.

3. Cheerleader outfits. Nothing could ever be worse than the pre-game stuff they wore for the Steeler game.

Green is not terrible; and he continues to improve. As Skkorp points out he was going against Roy Williams much of the game. I would have like to see him get his arms between Williams and knock that last TD out of his hands though, but I don't really fault him for that. Lions made the play.

The constant criticism of Eric Green gets under my skin a little due to the guy sitting next to me at the games. Every time the opponent completes a pass on Green's side of the field he ******* about Green. Doesn't matter if the other team made a great play, if the reciever wasn't Green's cover assignment nor any other factors. I hate ignorance...

So EXCUSE ME FOR BEING A LITTLE SENSITIVE TO THE TOPIC!!!

Yes, but when a shaky team struggling to develop some rhythm and consistancy on offense does it, there's a good chance that a change of posession will occur. Defenses know that there's a real good possibility that a team will go for a quick strike.

An interception/turnover is a momentum shift that needs to be cultivated. Taking a few plays and at the very least preserving a fg attempt is much more desirable at this stage of things for the Cards. As much of a momentum shift that a turnover can cause, I think a turnover after a turnover's impact is amplified beyond that. When Warner/Edge fumbled (due to a MISSED assignment on the o-line!) and then Kitna gave it right back, all the energy that Detroit instantly generated was gone and they were left at a lower level than even before the first turnover.

...oh, I really liked the red, white & blue outfits the cheerleaders were wearing. It was a nice tribute. Didn't the Card's have the flag's colors incorporated into their scheme a few years ago(before the new uni's)?

For what its worth, the announcers on TV discussed the fact that the Cards have the highest Red Zone TD % in the league. In other words, when the Cards have the ball in the Red Zone they convert that into a TD better than anyone else.

This would tell me that they are consistantly getting it done in the RZ whether they get a turnover or just driving down the field.

Why mess with success?
