The Dallas Cowboys are bringing back part of their 2023 defense with their latest signing. After spending one season with the Washington Commanders, Dante Fowler Jr. returns to Big D.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Fowler returns to the Cowboys on a one-year, $8 million deal. He spent the last season with Washington following Dan Quinn after he was named head coach of the Commanders ahead of the 2024 season. Fowler tallied 10.5 sacks last season, which were his highest since 2019 with the Rams.

During the 2022 and 2023 seasons, the former Florida Gator tallied 10 combined sacks and 40 tackles with the Cowboys. He replaces the outgoing Demarcus Lawrence, who recently signed with the Seattle Seahawks before he fired a final warning shot to the Cowboys and Micah Parsons.
