I don't know why anyone would want Romo in there rather then Weeden. Sure, Weeden could have good a game but he's not a good NFL QB. This sounds to me like a case of a guy "getting better" by not playing. I think that's more of a case of people forgetting how bad he was.

I'll take my chances on Weeden over Romo every single time.

I just hope we don't under-estimate Weeden.
I think this is what the Giants and 49ers did when we played Stanton. At least Weedon has been active for the past few years. Stanton hadn't played a regular season down for 4 years before the Giants game.

McCoy ran pretty good on us. 20 caries 80+ yards. He said after the game that he didn't really see how we were ranked so high in run defense.
I think he got his answer on 3rd and short with about 1:30 left in the game.

Ya'll crack me up about the Weeden/Romo debate. If we're better than them, we're going to win no matter who plays QB.

Don't care about excuses for them, we have our own excuses, but we haven't used them a single game. Let them use excuses if they want. Excuses are for losers, all I care about is the win and taking firm control of the NFC. At the end of the year they add them up into 1's and 0's and nobody cares how you got them.

Witten is going to destroy our LB, at depth, not specifically our LB's, but depthwise, no matter who their QB is. The question is whether they can methodically move the ball on us for long drives, drive after drive, all game long. I don't think either QB is patient enough to do that for 60 minutes, not with our mix of weirdness.

They run the ball extremely well, and have probably the best offensive line in football. That's a concern, more than the QB, in my opinion. But they haven't played a defense like ours. Washington did blitz alot, but they brought mostly outside pressure (except for the one Romo got destroyed on).

We bring inside pressure, just about all the time. That's one thing I would say is misleading about our sack #'s: I don't think our blitz is even designed to get sacks necessarily, fellas. I think it's designed to get pressure up the middle of the line, sack or not. How often have we complained that they're all clogged up in there and not breaking free? It's by design. We rarely allow a QB to step up into the pocket. We rarely even allow a QB to step into throws when we blitz. With our corners and secondary, if you can't step into a throw or step up in the pocket, there's never enough velocity to go deep successfully, not consistently. Watch the film and that's what we're doing. All the time. Doesn't matter if it's Romo or Weeden, that's what we're going to do. The play design to Maclin last game was pretty brilliant but even then it was about as well defended as I could expect with man on man coverage deep without our #1 or #2 corner covering.

I should add, our inside pressure is what helps the run game defense. It usually stuffs the middle, forcing things outside. Don't care what McCoy said after the game. He had 80 yards. It's not like he gouged us and found some weakness. He's just trying to reassure people he doesn't suck.

We're better coached. Don't just mean BA. We're better coached down the line. That wins games. It may win more games than players. BA is certainly making that statement.

A hobbled Romo with no practice time vs a mediocre Weeden who's getting all the first team reps. I like our chances either way.

Everything the Cowboys do poorly on offense; (Pickup the blitz) we do well on defense.

Everything the Cowboys do well on offense; (RUN) we are the best in the NFL at defending.

Dallas' game plan relies heavily on the offensive line being stellar. This is what gets Demarco Murray so many yards and Tony Romo so much time. But part of that is the fact that their line is so good, they can go 1on1 with pretty much anyone and come out on top. That's why Seattle had so much trouble with them. Seattle blitzes almost as little as anyone in the NFL. Something like 20% of the time. You try to go man on man with Dallas' Oline and you lose. That MNF performance was exposing as it could get. I mean it was so obvious they cant pickup a blitz in that game, Todd Bowels must have been drooling. The Cardinals blitz over 50% of the time. Everyone knows that, the question will be can Dallas stop it.

One thing I am really interested to see is how successfully they run the ball. Time for our D to show that they really are #1 and why.

So really, there's no reason the Cardinals shouldn't win, however we're all Cardinals fans and we've seen this movie before so it's just as likely that we will lose, but honestly, I think we're gonna win. I just think it is an ideal matchup for the Cardinals, but I gotta tell ya, I worry about the officiating in this one. We'll see how it goes, just call it both ways Zebras!

When the Cards beat Seattle last year I think they played many of the run downs with Dan Williams and Ta'amu playing side by side. Don't know how to verify that, but if that's correct I hope to see a lot of that on Sunday. I know Ta'amu hasn't seen the field much this year and I know that it usually takes the bigger guys more time to recover from ACL's but I'm hoping he's ready enough to increase his snap count this Sunday.

BWeed creates the scenario of a trap game if he starts. Thats an edge in itself.

Dont sleep. Good teams win games they should win. This will be another good test to see if we are a good team.

21 carries for 83 yds (4 ypc) with no tds and stoned on 3rd and inches in the red zone for an elite back and he's talking?? **** shady...we've allowed 1 100 yard rusher in the last 26 games, gore, and that was 17 games ago. It is known that we stop the run. Shady just one more sad sack who doesn't know why he couldn't run on us. Dumb comment...if we aren't all that and a bag of chips, did he look average against us because he's average? Is that what he's saying? Because that's what is implied.

I did not get all this Cowboy fear from the get go and I still will not when the media pumps up Dallas after the Jags... they are a below average team and their OL is good but hardly great

+1 The guy was given every chance in Cleveland with a good supporting cast. Now I DO believe in coaching being able to turn careers around but I just didn't see that on Monday.

However, this is a road game, against a 6-2 team with tremendous potential on offense. Anyone who is cavalier about the cards kicking their ass is being foolish.

if that October 26th Cardinal team shows up in Arlington, I think there is a good shot at pulling off the upset.

So you're saying that he was given opportunities in Cleveland but had a Cavalier attitude?
