well said. for those that don't know nate newton, like irvin, has his own radio show. or he is like a sidekick or something. as far as jones...yeah he's not a normal owner. with jerry winning comes first at all costs. he's not afraid to take the heat or make a fool of himself.....or even admit that he's an idiot for being wrong. and he's been all of the above. he deserves his critics and so do the cowboys that have been convicted of wrong doings. but jerry has my total respect for putting the cowboys back on the map. and not backing down from his actions/or his critics. if he was the owner others wanted him to be the cowboys would not be where they are today.Whether we should have done something different with Leonard Davis is of no interest to me and has never been. My only comment was aimed at how ludicrous it was for a Texas newspaper to tout any opinion of Nate Newton's as being worthy of respect.
The felons may have more total top caliber football players on their roster than any team in the NFL in the last 20 years or so. Their collective leadership and character is suspect. From owner to head coach to quarterback to some of their of their top stars.
If talent matters most, they ought to be able to go 19-0, barring catastrophic injuries.
quarterbacks? maybe that's where I don't agree with you unless you're talking about quincy carter J/K. I think the great cowboys QB's of the past were first class on and off the field(especially aikman/staubach) and they set the bar high. yeah romo isn't great, but he certainly is a class act IMO. he may look like a dork often times and he does some stupid things every now and then. but I like his character. the cowboys got lucky getting him for nothing.
