The first hockey magazine on the stands has the Coyotes picked last. Looks like another long season.

Its hard to see a team that's worse on paper as of right now. I'll unfortunately probably be keeping a close eye on Steven Stamkos, who's projected to go #1 overall next summer.

Not to worry, I know a Blackhawk season ticket holder who believes that "the Coyotes are a in a youth movement, and they will be good again shortly."

What kind of talent does this guy have? A rare #1 overall?

The Yotes are beyond irrelevant in the Valley sports scene right now, they really need to get it turned around. Phoenix will never be enough of a hockey town for them to sustain such long periods of poor play. I think they are very lucky to have that new arena built, if that wouldn't have happened I doubt they'd still be in AZ.

Things will certainly change a lot between now and draft day (for example, everybody thought that Angelo Esposito would have been first overall a year before the 2007 draft but he went into a freefall in the months leading to the draft) but its safe to say that he's no Crosby and probably a step below Ovechkin as well. Nevertheless, he's thought of as better than the average #1 pick, and by all accounts the 2008 draft would be an excellent one to have a high pick in.

I can think of over a hundred million reasons why they won't move -- they would have to pay a nine figure check to the City of Glendale for breaking their lease.

ESPN.com write Scott Burnside predicts that the Coyotes may soon move and proposes Hamilton, Ontario as the city that they will move to, according to this article.

I think your statement is taken slightly out of context. He never states they are interested in moving. The article reads:

Buzz Cut
Will fans put up with a true rebuilding project in the desert? Where will the team be when it finally gets good? Hamilton, Ontario, anyone?
