Sanderson is far from a top 6 LW... he is 33 and a decent scorer at best.

Sanderson is most assuredly a top 6 winger. There are very few teams where he would not be playing on the top two forward lines.

Last season this guy had: 80 games 16 goals 20 assists 36 points and a -10

How is that a top 6 winger? Maybe he can be on the second forward line, but not the 1st.

I followed him when was good with the Whalers but he hasn't show anything since. Dude, he was the only offensive option on the Blue Jackets, don't let those stats fool you from THREE years ago

Im not sure where the confusion is coming from. If you play on the first or second forward lines (and he will probably play on the second), you are a top 6 forward.

TSN seems to agree.

He might be a 2nd liner on a bad team, but don't get me wrong I am not against this trade. However, I just don't see him as playing on the first or second lines. Maybe until Nagy comes back (hopefully today) he will be on the second line.
