Wow. Griffin is definitely going to leave as well.

There's an arms race going on in the West right now. Suns might be wise to bide their time and stick to the 2020 plan. Maybe facilitate some trades and unload Tyson Chandler to one of the contenders for future assets of course.

This would be the smartest thing to do. We can't compete with the big boys, so unless you're gonna make a move to get a Porzingis type young potential superstar talent, slow and steady is the plan.

Also, I don't understand how Paul is a fit for the Rockets. The whole narrative behind D'Antoni's COY season and Harden's MVP runner-up was that Harden had been made the point guard. He's supposed to go back to playing off the ball now? Or Paul becomes a spot-up shooter? We've seen over and over that having two "primary" ball-handlers doesn't work.

Makes no sense for the Rockets in my opinion. Your already weak defensively and now you send away your best defender in Beverly and 20 points off the bench in Williams.

I'd still be down for DeAndre Jordan. Rather have him than Griffin, by a lot actually.

At least Jordon is under contract for the coming season with a player option for the following season.

I think this makes lots of sense. CP3 and Harden are a great fit together. CP3 is a better defender (at least equal) than Beverly PLUS he is a much better offensive player and team leader. He provides injury insurance that Beverly cannot. He makes it so much harder for teams to deal with the Rockets. CP3 takes the best of Beverly and Williams and puts it in one player. One player who does two things is always better than two who do one.

Why would you rather have Jordan than Griffin? He's 29 and will receive $46 million over the next 2 years. Does he bring that much more to the table than Tyson Chandler who costs half that?

Yeah, he is the best defensive big man in the NBA. Also, the cost is irrelevant. Suns are in great shape when it comes to their salaries.

Harden had no problem playing with Westbrook for a couple years.

I'm confused. The Rockets were prepared to sign Paul outright, but now they can't afford to trade for him?
