I truly believe Cro would have rather retired than play anywhere else than NY. Jets overpaid. He was so obsessed with them that they could have signed for him for a Coke and a bag of chips.

Just like the AP thread, why start assassinating someone's character, just because he no longer works for the team you root for? Sure, Cro has a past, but as far as I know, it's in the past and he seems to be a different person now. He played well, while working for the Bidwills and I don't recall him badmouthing Phoenix, the state of Arizona, or the Cardinals franchise. Just let him go in peace and wish him well.
AP and Cro have made many poor life decisions, and I reserve the right to call their character into question. This says nothing of their football talents, however.

He's on the record stating that his wife really missed NY and wasn't in love with AZ...he also stated that he would put his wife and family before all else, even winning.

He has fathered like 14 children in 12 different states. What counts as family?

The number of kids and different states keeps climbing every time this sentiment is posted. Which is it?

Last I heard it was 30 kids in 40 states, not sure how that happened though.

Good for him. And could this have worked any better as far as a one year rental? Dude went from nothing to 8 million a year for 4 years.

First Dansby, Now Cro. Weatherspoon next?

I gotta think Az has the best pitch to guys whose market value is down and need to have a good year to build it back up.

NOW LETS GO GET TRENT RICHARDSON:D

I think this will place a need for a cornerback in the draft. There are quite a few good sized cornerbacks in the draft that could come in and help the Cardinals out.

It was both surprising and not how quickly the cornerback market dried up in this Free Agency.

I like Darius Butler, Kareem Jackson, and Mike Jenkins, and none of them lasted a day into free agency.

We all know Cromartie wasn't coming back, but he played very well for the Cardinals last year, I was surprised how good of a player he was.......even if he doesn't tackle.

I think we can hedge the bet on Jerroud Powers and Justin Bethel with another free agent pickup in three weeks, after the draft, or right before camp. Some useful veterans are going to pop up if we can't find value in the draft.

The Cards can become a great destination for "prove it" veterans if they can continue to help guys triple their value after a season here.

I agree AZ Finest and K9, Cards should get a rep for the one year prove it to resurrect your career. Now all that needs to happen is for BASK to stop bringing in more FA's then we lose so we can start getting quality comp picks.

Oh, and good luck Cro and thanks for your play and effort this past year.

Cro has twelve kids, with four from his wife, and eight others with seven different women.

He said he had a vasectomy in late 2011 when he only had 10 kids...he either lied, it did not take, or he had it reversed. He and his wife just welcomed twins late last year.

I remember him struggling to name his kids on HBO's Hard Knocks. I think he named about 8 of them. Several were 3 (or just turning 3) at the same time.

did you ever think you'd write the above ten years ago?

I love Cro...sorry to see him go, no shock about it but he played well for us (other than that Denver game..ugh). Some big shoes to fill by Powers or Bethel.

I like this point you made. It's not just about resurrecting a career, it's about tripling their value and bank accounts. We always say money talks, and it's a business, and this is a great selling point to potential FA's coming in for a visit.

He was the best player on the defense last year. I think many are minimalizing his loss. I figured he was gone but it's still a big loss.
