1st round....
Although I am not enamored with this pick, Arizona will surprise no one and choose Gaines Adams DE. All the negatives I have heard about him have not been good, takes plays off, only played hard last year to boost his draft status, low intelligence. However he is a high risk high reward player and has great potential at a position we need.

2nd Round
I think we miss out again in the second when Joe Staley is gone. We end up taking Doug Free OT. A high motor tackle good in run blocking is just what the Cards need.

3rd Round
We get the steal in the draft when Brain Leonard FB falls in our laps. Latest projections have him in the late 2nd, so it's plausible he falls. A powerful, FB who can block, catch and run is just the guy for Whisenhunts offense.

4th Round
The area of need that needs to adressed is TE. The pick is Matt Spaeth TE. A good route runner and medium range TE, who is a strong blocker. Could be a perfect fit for Whisenhunt's O.

5th Round
The Cards get lucky once more as Tim Shaw OLB slips to the 5th. (projected 4th). Could be a perfect fit here as he is a smart player who is a smart player. Could make up for his lack of strength with football smarts and instincts.

6th Round
To Pats.

7th Round
Nick Folk K, brought in to give Rackers some competition. Great leg, but accuracy is a concern.

No good negatives? That's when you know he sucks. ;)

I agree with you though. That's why I say if you see Calvin Johnson or Peterson you either take them or look for a good trade down. Try with Quinn too. Of course if Thomas is there take him.

It could happen. I wouldn't like it though. The only picks I likedwere leonard and Shaw, but I doubt shaw will last to that spot after his combine performance.
