I liked what he had to say about the Dodgers:

"They have strung three victories together for the first time this season and are in second place. Unfortunately, they are further out of first place (6½) than every other cellar-dweller in baseball other than the lowly Rangers (7½)."

I think power rankings should be more reflective of how the teams are playing NOW, rather than "big picture". It seems both of these guys are more concerned about their preseason rankings than current play. I mean, you see some grudging respect given to teams like the A's and Rays who have clearly been better than some of the teams ranked ahead of them SO FAR.

Barring a late season let down against Northeastern I'd say the Dbacks are a lock for the BCS.

The D-backs own the biggest division lead in the majors. It's rare to see any team get over a five-game lead in the standings in the first month of the season. Looking for a reason why? The D-backs rank near the top of the NL in runs scored and near the bottom in runs allowed. This isn't such a difficult game, is it?

You catch the ball, you throw the ball, you hit the ball.

This team can do ALL 3!
