I am curious as He!! to see what DG can do with our current D-linemen.

They have always been underachievers which IMO has always equated to their coaching. What if we already have one or two gems that just haven't received some good harda$$ coaching??

I loved ready the reports from everyone that went to the mini-camps (Thanks to all of you!!). It just makes me feel like this team is already better and there haven't been that many roster changes.

I am hoping that Bell and Bryant really kick it in this year. :hulk:

You left out two guys, both will play LDE. Dennis Johnson, who looked good in mini-camp, and KVB, who will be in the rotation.

I can't believe that both KVB and Fred Wakefield are going to be on the roster come September. Any early indication on who's ahead?

Prediction - If they stay 100% healthy, they'll make the roster.

We signed a d-end in free agency and (hopefully) will draft a tackle in a couple weeks. Someone's gotta go! Surely the Cards won't carry 11 d-linemen on the active roster.

Presently:

DEs: Berry, Johnson, Pace, Vanden Bosch, Wakefield
DTs: King, Bell, Bryant, Tanner, Davis, Kolodzeij

I don't see them keeping 11, but do see them keeping 9.

DE: Berry, Johnson, Wakefield, KVB, Pace.

I see this as Wakefield on the bubble, depending on how KVB plays once he gets back on the field.

DT: King, Bryant, Bell, Tanner, Davis, Kolodziej.

King, Bryant, and Bell are locks.
Tanner and Davis are fighting for one spot as the NT.
I see Kolodziej as a camp body.
If a high draft pick is selected, it should be at NT to replace the winner
of Tanner and Davis. If a low draft pick is used, the player may be placed on the practice squad to develop.

I wasn't trying to leave anyone out. I just think that Bell and Bryant could blossom because of different coaching.

I take that back..... You are right, I think that any of the Cards D-Linemen could blossom with the new coaching staff.

From what you and others have reported it sounds as if Bryant is really taking on the Challenge!

I have always rooted for the underdog (imagine that... a Card fan rooting for the underdog :D ). I really just want to see our D-Line kicking some Buttoch!!

I hope Pace is doing better as well.

If I had to guess right now, I would say Davis and KVB were the guys most on the bubble.

Also remember, DJ doesnt seem to practice well. He came out of camp last year not even sniffing a starting position and had to work his way in via injuries and spot duties. He needs to kick it in this year or DG will have him on the pine!

K9, Dennis Johnson at LDE is way ahead of everybody else. Bert Berry is playing RDE.

The guys in trouble are Fred Wakefield and Calvin Pace. Fred Wakefield had horrible minicamps and Calvin Pace's injury may be career threatening.

For a possible sports hernia? I don't know, Skkorp. Between what you're saying about Fisher and Pace, I wonder if you might be jumping the gun on the injury front.
