Jason Cambell.......but his career is just starting.

We'll see about him (and Cutler) in the long run. If anything, their careers prove that it's great to be a QB. God almighty do they get over-drafted or what. Seems like anyone with a functioning arm and decent feet is a high pick nowadays.

Oh, man. You just accidentally agreed with me. Prepare to get a firestorm of BS rained down upon you. Big mistake.

Don't you realize that Cutler is the best player in the draft????? ESPN said so! Better than Young and Bush, yes he is.

Oh, I'm not worried about people disagreeing with me.

He looked like what he's always looked like to me.....a good prospect. But, so are a lot of QBs in this draft. In fact, I'd take Reggie McNeal over Cutler. His arm is just as strong (from what I've seen) and he has a higher ceiling because he's a home run threat as a runner. He's Vick-like fast.

If we somehow got Cutler, I'd get excited about it. But, I'd be worried too.

Yeah, but you're just not getting it. MEL KIPER says he's better than Vince Young. And Reggie Bush. And every other player on the planet. Who are you to disagree with EXPERTS?

No he did not. He has said he was top 10 pick and he was behind Young and Leinart. Where do you come up with this stuff?

Apparently you haven't been keeping up with ESPN's Senior Bowl updates all week. Cutler is now the top QB in the draft according to Mortensen, and Kiper was all full of fluff about him this week too. I can't wait till his next "big board" update. Maybe Cutler will even be #1!

ps - that post was an attempt at humor, not intended to be taken as a serious argument. As for where Kiper actually places Cutler, I neither know nor care at the moment.

Cutler was the "top QB" at the Senior Bowl. Young and Leinart weren't there. Kiper was a paid analyst at the game. Paid to hype Cutler to hopefully generate TV ratings, nothing more.

If it had been the Junior Bowl it would have been all about Vince Young and Reggie Bush.

Unless Ferguson, Cutler or Williams drops to #10 I say drop DOWN and try and get Jean-Gilles in the First Round. With 2 picks in either the 2nd or 3rd round we can afford to take Omar Jacobs with one of them.

I only saw the first half of the Senior Bowl and I was less than impressed with Cutler. I wouldn't risk the 10th pick overall on him...and I am one who firmly believes we need a QB of the Future but at the same time I don't think we should reach for one.

Kiper has said all week he believes Cutler is the #3 QB behind Leinart and Young and he said today he thinks he'll go #9 to Detroit although he said earlier this week during one of the practices he could go #10 to the Cards.

I am more sure than ever that Lendale White SHOULD be our pick. He would immediately step in and at the very least be an upgrade over Marcel Shipp.

i don't know if cutler is the answer, but i'm tired of looking for the quick fix. like jake says 'I don't give a rats ass' if the qb pick doesn't help us this year. he'll help us eventually.

I honestly don't think Jacobs will be there at our #2 pick. I see him as a late 1st early 2nd rounder. There are a lot of teams looking for a QB and if Leinhart, Young, and Cutler are gone by 10 then someone will panic and select Jacobs.

Great post...I was going to suggest the same thing earlier today. Probably won't happen, but Max Jean-Gilles is just the kind of player the Cardinals need. And...having the luxury to add Jacobs would be excellent.

Jean Giles is a possibility to drop down into the second round after the combine (im not sure i have read he is a superior physical speciman)and i dont think it is a good idea to draft a rookie olinemen with our first pick unless ferguson drops....free agency and players who know the NFL are the key there for rapid improvement...

Lendale White, Vernon Davis ( i heard some things that have made me change my mind on him) or Ferguson would be my ideal picks for an impact to an area (offense) which is what did us in last year. The only defenders i take would be Huff or Hawk.

Ideally i want Lendale White as i see him as being severly underratted since he managed to play in the same backfield as the modern day Gale Sayers and still split carries and break a TD record at a school thats known as Tailback U. Incidentally he is eaxctly what we need in our backfield and will make a average offensive line look a lot better.

Davis (or Mercedes Lewis in the second if he continues to drop) would be another weapon down feild.....

Here is what i would like our draft to look like ideally (but realistically)

1: White
2: Lewis
3: Abdul Hodge, Omar Jacobs, or Manigold (im not sure if any of these guys will be available but one of them is likely to drop with a poor offseason)
4: Hagan (if he really drops this far like someone else suggested, this would be an absolute steal. He might have had a bad week, but he runs routes like Marvin Harrison and i have never thought his hands to be suspect)
5.FS
6.Oline
7:Dline

I really think we should get 2-3 linemen in free agency and I love the idea of Rocky Bernard. I also want a big time MLB but im not sure if there is anyone available in FA

BTW what happened to UVA linebacker Ahmad Brooks...is he draft eligible?

"full of fluff" is one thing, but Kiper has NEVER said that Cutler was anything other than a potential top 10.

I'm just glad there are three good QBs and two good RBs available, and a chance that we'll end up with one of them.

Titans and Saints seem great bets to take QBs, but I don't trust the Raiders and Jets to not be interested as well. I don't care if Oakland has 8 QBs on their roster.

Why do you think DG draft a OG with the first pick?Jacobs is a lot less impressive than Cutler this year.
