Man if i were Montero i would be worried that Nieves could get more playing time. The thing Montero has going for him is his large contract. Don't get me wrong Miguel is one of my favorite D backs but i hope he starts hitting soon.

Nice win. Let's be greedy and go for 3 out of 4.

The D-Backs don't play their best players, as most teams don't. The loyalty is confusing. I don't know why, but it always comes down to dollars. Go to this link and see where the value truly is in terms of $$$

http://espn.go.com/mlb/team/salaries/_/name/ari/arizona-diamondbacks

It's mostly at the bottom.

Why are Josh Wilson, Cliff Pennington, and Eric Hinske even on the roster? Owings is hitting lights out in AAA and yet he is being bumped by the likes of those clowns. Matt Davidson is another one. Skaggs vs. McCarthy is another one. Nieves vs. Montero is another one.

I know Owings and Davidson play SS and 3B respectively, so you're not going to bump Prado and Didi, but I would play the players that give the team the best chance to win when they get playing time. I'm sure overall Owings and Davidson are better options than Wilson and Pennington. Find a spot for them.

If they waived Wilson and Pennington and brought up these two they'd just sit on the bench. Not exactly the best place to develop your young talent.

The infield for now should stay the one that started tonight.

You realize the Dbacks are in 1st place, right?
With the 9th best record in baseball. I'm looking ahead to whom we'll be facing in the post-season. The habits we develop now will play a large role in how far we can go.

Owings has been playing some 2B this year, so I have a feeling that if Hill has another setback, they could bring up Ownings to play there.

Good. With the way he's been playing he deserves a shot, especially with Didi being our SS for the foreseeable future.

I wouldn't want to sit Bloomquist with the way he's hitting the ball right now.

Routine hit right to the pitcher and Kennedy doesn't know who he's throwing to at 2nd so he throws it horribly and Didi can only get one out. Should have been a double play and the inning should be over. Instead, Kennedy loads the bases and now 2 runs have scored with still one out to go. Stupid!!!

Oh and now Kennedy gives up a 3 run homer. That is FIVE RUNS that shouldn't have happened. I am so sick of Kennedy.

ANOTHER homer given up by Kennedy so that's SIX runs that shouldn't be.

10-2 St. Louis

Dbacks fall 12-8 on a stinker by Kennedy as he gives up 8 runs in the 4th inning. Dbacks take the season series 4-3 for the 1st time since 2007 and I'm sure Matheny would have been much happier if they didn't have to burn through a couple extra pitchers as the Snakes kept chipping away until the end (was 12-2 at one point).

St. Louis hits the road for a big series against the Reds, and the Dbacks head home for a big series against the Giants.

So how many runs did the Cardinals score that inning after the bad throw to second by Kennedy?

Time for Kennedy to "have a sore shoulder" and get sent to Reno for some "rehab work."

6 runs.

Kennedy had already given up 2 runs before it so it was 4-2 Cards at that point. Then the botched double play and then 6 runs, for a total of 8 runs that inning.
